I have saw a number of threads on it, so people are talking about it obviously.
I’m hopeful, but not going to get my hopes up too much. I quit the game around a month and a half ago because I got sick of seeing way more bots than actual players. I haven’t logged in since.
I will keep an eye on the forums and hope this lasts because I was really enjoying the game. But I refuse to play a game that has way more bots everywhere I look instead of actual players.
Now there are few/almost no bots. It had a gigantic banwave beyond the measures taken. There’s a post about it on the official “news” page 
EDIT: Yes, not all beserk and sorcerer are bots, sometimes you just saw a bad one.
They’re just words. The bots will be back at the end of the day like every week.
If you’re keeping an eye out on these forums to get your information on when you should come back, you’re doing something wrong.
This is the worst place for that.
This must happen on your server. On mine, I hardly see bots, so stopping playing because of that is at least funny. It’s like trying to catch 1 flaw, and justifying all your desire to play the game after riding the hype wave.

Already some back, and they seem to have a gained a new ability to walk through walls which they weren’t doing yesterday 
I see many threads and posts with people either reporting how bad they are or how it’s gotten better,
I’m not going to waste my time logging into the game just to later get disgusted when I see bots everywhere. I will continue to check here on occasion and see what people are reporting.
I’m an intelligent person and realize people sometimes aren’t completely honest and exaggerate in the game forums. I’m also intelligent enough to understand when I see thread after thread of people demanding something be done about all the bots, that this game still has a major problem. I’m also intelligent enough to understand that when the forums makes a shift to saying the bot situation is better and thanking AGS, that’s a plus and one can hope it lasts. I don’t expect it to though.

When I quit playing about a month and a half ago I rarely saw a legitimate player anymore. I would get excited if I saw an actual person. Looking back, how pathetic was that?
Every channel was bots everywhere. I had played since the first day of early access.
I would love to know what server you are on where you never see bots. That’s absolutely amazing since many people have been complaining about them for months. I was on NA server east coast. What server are you so fortunate enough to be on that bots don’t exist? Even Amazon themselves have said in these forums many times now how it’s an ongoing problem that they are constantly combating. How is your server immune?
And look at the numbers people are posting since the latest ban wave. Hundreds of thousands less players than before. Down from around over 500k players to less than 160k.
Edited to add: Ride the hype wave you say? I wasn’t following this game. I had next to zero interest in it when I started. I was just looking for a new game to try and decided to try it spur of the moment. I initially wasn’t impressed with the click to move and over the head camera view. I decided to give the game more of a chance. I ended up liking it much more than I thought I would, until the bots took over anyways. I won’t play any game that has more bots running around than legitimate players. I don’t care how much I like it. It has nothing to do with riding a hype wave, especially since I definitely wasn’t ever hyped for Lost Ark.

Arcturus S.A. Believe me, there are almost no bots. But in any case, if you played 1 and a half months you didn’t see anything of the game, you just got really tired. MMORPG is that, most people don’t like it. Lost ark doesn’t have enough flaws for a person to say the game is bad, for example. She may just not like it and that’s okay.

I have been playing mmorpg’s for around 17 years. I’m not new to gaming or the genre by any means. I have played many of them for many years. I liked Lost Ark, but not enough to be surrounded by bots everywhere I looked. I’m not going ti force myself to play a game that I found myself being disgusted every time I logged in. Remove the bots and I would still be playing.
Do I expect all bots to be gone? Of course not. All games have bots to an extent. But the amount in this game is beyond anything I have ever saw in the many, many free to play and pay to play mmo’s I have played over the last 17 years or so.
I might check out your server. I can handle seeing a bot on occasion. But it’s almost all I was seeing on my server. It was absolutely horrible.
There’s a difference between thousands of bots and HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of bots.
I’d rather a situation where AGS is constantly trying to ban and prevent thousands rather than having servers be overwhelmed by hundreds of thousands.
To remove all bots forever is impossible. To wipe out ~80-90% of them, which is what this looks like tbh…is progress.
On my server there is almost none, and I walk through a lot of maps. I’m not saying they don’t exist here, but the images that show on the forum of “hundreds” of bots together, I’ve never seen.
And like every week, you’ll see hundreds of thousands within 24 hours of the client patch. Again, we get this thread.
