@Roxx
There have been a disturbing number of BOTS running around Lost Ark tonight… 27 Feb at 23.30pm (Australia time)
Server: Valtan, US West
BOT NAME: Scotmi and Darinja, plus at least 50 or more running very fast, 1 after the other. I was unable to get their names as they were too fast. They ran to where they had to turn a quest in Ozhorn Hill, Merchant Camp to Stengel, then blinked out of sight. I think they blinked into another instance… They had no pets.
Continent/Land: Yudia
Area: Ozhorn Hill, Merchant Camp
Reported by: Roseflame
I stood there watching them for 10 minutes and there were at least 50 of them.
They were either a sorceress/bard, or a Bezerker. They were wearing the same gear.
It is no wonder that server queues are so long with this number of BOTS choking up the server.
If I remember anything else I will add it.
EDIT: I don’t know how or where to report bots. And seeing as they are too fast to click on, it makes it impossible.
Relying on players to report this wont work as they are too fast. You need software to keep up with them (on your end, policing).
Firstly I want to thank you for your reply… and just say that its impossible to capture all their names.
There were too many to report with screenshots.
There were around 50 in a 10 minute timeframe.
Plus they kept ‘blinking’ out of the game…
They were also blinking into the game, directly in front of the NPC called ‘Stengel’ where they had to turn in a quest. Then they ran away very fast.
If there were that many in that timeframe, there must be hundreds of them…
I am glad that you are working on tools to address the bot issue.
It is getting out of hand.
Oh I understand and yes, there were a few implemented and we are working on a few more.
To answer your second post, you can select the “Report a Player or Guild Outside the Game” option. It takes you to a different page where you can submit a web ticket (report).
This track ended at the NPC called Stengel. They piled into each other in exactly the same spot, making it difficult to see names (names were jumbled).
I am always careful about reporting bots as sometimes they are just normal players… but these WERE definitely BOTS.
They all did exactly the same thing,
they ran very fast,
they followed the same path
they all piled into each other
they kept blinking out, or into the area, to/from another instance.
I will take back my statement of saying there were hundreds of them… there must be thousands of them.
When logging into game on this day on 27th Feb (Australia time) the queues were around 12k at all times of the day. These BOTS are inflating queues. There are SO many of them
It seemed that when blinking in or out of the area, that they were only there for less than a minute.
This must make it extremely difficult for you to trace.
How are you going to come up with software for this?
The only thing I can think of is how often they change into other instances of the same area.
I really hope you show this whole report to the devs. @Roxx
They are clogging the server… they have been doing this at the same place for over 15 hours.
I am standing there watching them… too many to follow, and they are too fast.
I have not seen ONE player.
