Careful… likes to quote everything you say out of context.
How is it out of context exactly? I’m asking questions about their comments.
Don’t shoot the messenger.
I dont think you know what a strawman argument is. It is quite simple really.
Straw man Definition & Meaning - Merriam-Webster
My words completely relay my point, you just fail to focus on what I said and instead are trying to generalize a very specific point I made. There is nothing unethical about selling something completely optional in this game. Do try to stay focused if you are able. If you cannot understand a simple sentence and must keep trying to generalize things then just move on. If you want to focus on my exact words then we can proceed. To try and help you, I didnt say anything about games in general or life in general.
I just asked you to explain your statement. People seem to have trouble with that in this thread ![]()

Bada bing, now we can both read ignored comments. ![]()
The problem is it gives stat bonuses. If it gave 0 bonuses people would be fine with it
Ok so it’s THIS game specifically because you followup to say:
Because I’m trying to understand your original statement:
There was no qualifier here, but now you are ammending that to “there’s nothing unethical about something that’s completely optional to buy IN THIS GAME”. So there’s something special about this game that makes it immune to ethical concerns? Please elaborate.
I originally didnt use a qualifier because i wrongly assumed it would be obvious to the average person that we were talking about this game and not some other game. You clearly proved that assumption wrong.
Lastly, you have to look at the statement as a whole. There is nothing unethical about selling something optional in this game. This could apply to other games in other situations but we would have to talk about those specifics. I didnt say this game is immune from ethical concerns. Strawman number 4.
At this point i know you dont understand and should probably just move on before you continue digging your hole.
When you make sweeping general statements like “nothing is unethical about selling something that is optional to buy”, why would you assume someone would make that more specific for you? Isn’t that misrepresenting your words?
I did look at the statement as a whole. I still disagree with it, mind you. If AGS decided to sell something more blatantly unethical through the in game store I wouldn’t ignore it because it’s “optional” or “this game”, so I don’t think your generalization stands up. What if they sold the ability to ban another player of your choice for $1000? Is that ethical? It’s optional. It’s this game. Those qualifiers don’t prevent a product from being unethical.
I will stand up to swipe. I want the outfit for my sorc.
Stop complaining for things that dont matter to clear content. Either you buy it or not. Everyone uses their money as they please.
That would be against the TOS so it does not apply to this game.
Citation needed. It’s just an example though. So your position is there’s nothing unethical they could sell as long as it’s optional and not against ToS?
rowen.
You didn’t answer the question. I see a pattern here.
Also demonstrating for a 5th time that you don’t know what a strawman is.
Yes please quote the section my example would violate in the ToS. I’ll admit it’s a bad example if that’s the case.
Tbh, the worst part is that there is so much gold in the economy due to bots that it’ll take a long time for f2p players to buy the skins from the market. Wouldn’t be surprised to see them for 40-50k per piece which is KR prices.
It will probably be much higher at the outset (100k+) since demand will be high and inflation is high. You probably have to calculate a reasonable value for buying one with RMT gold and that will determine the market value until demand drops.
