In Brelshaza gates 2 & 3, there are certain attacks that have a chance to make my entire pc crash. I have no issues anywhere else in the game, including Brelshaza gates 1 & 4 (haven’t gotten to 5 & 6 yet), so this issue is specifically for these two gates. When it crashes, my monitors go black, and the pc seems to still be on and running, but it does not auto-reboot, so I’m forced to manually shut it down and turn back on.
For gate 2, I’ve identified the head’s basic attack where he floats in the air and leaves an exploding X aoe below him as a cause of crashing. There may be another pattern that causes it, but the X is definitely confirmed after crashing to it multiple times last night. Unfortunately, I don’t have enough time spent in gate 3 to know which patterns were causing the crashes.
Again, it’s only a chance of crashing as I have seen the X attack and not crashed before. I’ve also gotten past both gates a few times at this point, but I’m not sure if it was due to sheer luck or not. Regardless, I’d rather not leave my future gate 2 & 3 reclears up to chance every single week since it’s getting frustrating at this point.
My friends troubleshooting have led them to believe it’s something specific with my gpu and those two gates, so I’m not expecting an outright solution to this niche issue, but if anyone has any ideas or theories to try, I would love to hear them.

There are two ways:
a) Switch LoA from DX11 to DX9 in game settings.
b) Use GPU drivers NOT newer than 22.5.11.
There is a huge chance that one of these steps will solve the issue. Also at least a) is a quite simple, quick and easily reversible action anyway.
But as a first step you should let Steam check the game files’ integrity for sure in case you already didn’t.
If the problem persist once you have done with all the steps, I also would recommend you to contact our support team by creating a web ticket to help you further with this problem.
Tried switching to DX9 tonight, and it still crashed. In fact, the first three pulls the boss immediately started with the X attack, and I crashed every single time - couldn’t even see a single mech.
My group managed to clear without me in the last pull, but I got kicked from inactivity timer, so I haven’t received a ticket, and it shows Brel as completed in my weekly tasks. Might just be screwed for this week, so gonna have to test on my only other Brel alt.
Gonna try downgrading my gpu drivers, so we’ll see how that goes next time. I’ve verified my game files multiple times at this point, but nothing’s come of it, unfortunately.
I think the only thing in the lists I could try is switching to full screen as the rest I’ve already done or isn’t relevant to my situation.
If I submit a ticket, do you know if it would get escalated to whichever department(s) could look into any potential gpu-related causes? Whether it be on SG’s or AGS’ end.
When you create the web ticket this will be passed to the support team to see your case and they will be creating a ticket to the Devs team in order to investigate the issue and find the solution for it.
I also recommend you to share with them the link of this forum to let know more about the situation.
Hope this information help you and happy New Year!
Fullscreen mode is a good thing to try. Although I have no info it’s the case od LoA too it works (or at least did work at some point) in many other games.
This also happens to me. It happens 10x more in Brelshaza than in any other legion raid but it has also happened in Vykas/Valtan a few times. Computer will BSOD and restart by itself.
Tried so many different things in order to fix this, even accepted that my GPU was faulty but now I don’t believe it.
Used DDU to remove/reinstall older GPU drivers.
Reinstalled Windows/Lost Ark - multiple times.
Every Lost Ark setting is at the lowest it could be.
Use benchmark software to stress GPU to 100% usage with no crashes.
I played other MMOs and cranked video settings to the absolute max and I experienced 0 crashes. LoL/GW2/OW/Elden Ring do not crash.
Seems to be a Lost Ark specific issue.
Even if you scroll back a few days/weeks on this forum you can find people complaining about BSOD.
