Video card: AMD Radeon RX6600
AMD Software: Adrenaline Edition Version 22.8.2

Windows and video card software updated to latest available versions as of this post.

I have been experiencing BSOD crashes as of this week after the latest patch, though I am not sure if the two are related. They seem to occur when I change locations, either entire zones (e.g. South Vern to stronghold) or just areas within a zone (e.g. going into the animal’s burrow on Tortopia or going back outside). When the crash happens, the system completely freezes and sometime later I see a distorted BSOD message related to a ‘DPC WATCHDOG VIOLATION’. I have since started testing my system w/ the following apps running: Chrome (1 tab open), Discord (no voice chats active), GOG Galaxy (which I use to launch games), and Lost Ark. I’ll update this post if that minimal but reasonable suite of running apps also leads to the crash somehow. This is much less than what I typically run, but it hopefully simplifies things for diagnostic purposes.

Edit: This most recently happened while at my stronghold. I alt-tabbed out to type in discord and then my system hung.

Same thing for me, 6800 XT with Adrenaline version 22.8.2 and i have the exact same blue screen as you since the last patch.

Sorry to hear you’re having this issue, shapelike.

I’ve moved this over to the support section so our support team can look into this for you.

Welcome to the Lost Ark forum community, X4M. Sorry to hear you’re having this issue as well  .

Hello there @shapelike,

I’m sorry to hear that you are encountering the BSOD, it’s never fun to see that on your screen :frowning:

Thank you for sharing all the detailed information about this situation, I noticed that you and @X4M share the same AMD Adrenaline Version 22.8.2, I was wondering if you or @X4M have tried rolling back to a previous version of the software to see if the issue persist?

Also please try to verify the game files before you launch the game again:

I will be waiting on your response!
:dragon:

Verified game files, game still crashed my system (during the current mokoko event no less, nice). Rolling back AMD software now to v22.5.1 (AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition Revision Number Adrenalin 22.5.1 Recommended (WHQL)), which is the previous available version. Will see how that goes…

…a few hours of gameplay later, so far, so good. Will follow-up in a day or two, otherwise, I’ll wait and see if anything shows up in a patch note some day.

Edit: The few days later follow-up is that the game hasn’t crashed since I rolled back my AMD software to the previous version I mentioned here.

You can take the last driver update and put your game on DX9 in the settings, working for me so far.

Any impact on FPS, overall responsiveness?

Another day another BSoD, SYSTEM SERVICE VIOLATION for me today, you guys?

I’ve been getting random (raid or just brief idling), complete system freeze lately on 6900 XT but only on Lost Ark. Saw this thread and rolled back to 22.5.1 from 22.8.2 as well and haven’t experienced any regressions so far, other than losing OpenGL update.

My crashes stopped after I rolled back my software as described earlier in this thread. Your mileage may vary…

Hi @turbulencje,

I am sorry to see that your are still experiencing BSoD, I see @Jormungandrh posted some very good advice that worked for your fellow @shapelike, @X4M and @TheBear.

Let me know if that worked for you and I’ll keep an eye on this thread in case you have any more questions.

See you in Arkesia!!
