Bug: EAC detected

Hello!

I have a new issue since today. When starting game, it takes very long, multiple minutes (about 5 instead of 1), after server selection it show my character, but also a popup windows comes with message “EAC detected” and OK button.
After pressing the button the game just quites.

Can you please explain what is it? I can’t play the game.

I’m so sorry you’re having issues launching Lost Ark.

I really appreciate you’re communicating to us about this issue.

For this issue you can follow this troubleshooting related with the third party program EasyAntiCheat that is linked within Lost Ark:

  1. Open New World in your Steam Library.
  2. Right click on Lost Ark’s list title and then Go to Settings < Manage < Browse Local Files.
  3. Open the EasyAntiCheat folder.
  4. Run as administrator EasyAntiCheat_Setup executable file.
  5. Make sure in the drop-down within EasyAntiCheat Service Setup Lost Ark is the selected game.
  6. Press Repair Service.
  7. After this process verify Steam Integrity Check files: Steam Support :: Verify Integrity of Game Files (Steam Support :: Verify Integrity of Game Files).
  8. Re-launch Lost Ark.

Hey, sfc /scan did find some corrupted files and fixed them but it didn’t help in regards of Lost Ark.
My Windows is updated and so are my drivers…
Kinda desperate now

Edit:Also want to mention that every time I run the file check on steam it finds one damaged file and downloads it. But literally every time, for the 7th time now.
(The damaged file turns out to be easy anti cheat, because after I run the file check on steam the EasyAntiCheat_setup tells me that easy anti cheat isn’t installed)
And if I go to repair Easy Anti Cheat the only option I can choose is ‘‘Current (Game 580)’’

Well, still can’t say. The problem is I get either a server connect error and the game quits immediately or sometimes it shows that there is very long queue for the server multiple thousand, so a couple of hours. So I still can’t play the game.

I’m so sorry to hear you still have issues with Lost Ark Iscra; This is not the intended experience we want for our adventures.

Since the problems launching Lost Ark persist, I’d suggest you to please contact Amazon Games Customer Support using the link below and keep handy the following information:

  • Character Name.
  • Server.
  • Computer Specifications.
  • The previous troubleshooting we already made.

The same here :slight_smile: And i’m not a technology spec, so really: I can’t play and… I need to use my precious timeto google solution to problem which is not my fault. That’s ridiculous

Having the same issue followed all steps. Nothing got fixed. At the end just I uninstalled the game.

I have the same problem on Boosteroid. They can’t fix it either. Imagine you are trying to block bots but you also make players suffer again and if the players are minority, no worries.

@Cactacea so i tried all the steps you listed in the thread i even tried contacting costumer support and its been a week and a half with no reply idk why you guys are taking so long to fix this issue ive been having it sense vykas release
