I have been waiting this game for 8 years. I was so hyped for this game until today I saw a streamer literally buying upgrade materials from the cash shop to upgrade the gear.
How is this acceptable?
How is pay2win still tolerated? Why spend so much resources to make such a beautiful game JUST to ruin it with some very bad cash shop decisions? Who enjoys buying everything from the cash shop instead of playing the game? It does not make ANY sense to me.
You can also buy different skips for real money (for the personal island thingy for an example). Everything is tied to buying cash shop items.
I’m actually so bummed, like all this wait was just worthless and flushed down the toilet. I was really excited for this game. I remember at my darkest days, I dreamed of playing this game one day and it gave me strength to keep on going (sounds cheesy and messed up but still).
If it “doesnt matter at all” then why is it in the game in the first place? If it doesn’t really affect anyone, why does it exist?
Like buying skips for building buildings - wait 7h or swipe your credit card and have it instantly. This is a MOBILE GAME mechanic, it makes my skin crawl. It’s very hard not to pay attention to these crash-crab mechanics since they are everywhere.
By definition, pay-to-win presents the problem of impossible game progression without performing monetary transactions. This is simply not the case. Elements of the game such as these that allow for real world payment in exchange for progress are able to be performed through playtime. Therefore, it is possible to progress organically. At the end of the day, the developers have to be able to make money.
They definition of P2W has butchered in so many directions now that if a game company even asked for money in any manner someone will cry P2W. Not like it was was originally where if you dump $100 someone will never stand a chance against you unless they too dump $100
you do know this all gets wiped when new tier comes out right? when T2 comes all mats form T1 are usless, including the gear, its like a hard reset. you dont win anything, its pay to lose imo.
Please stop complaining about something you have no idea about. Some people here gave you some real feedback on the cashshop like @Tectrek or @jutsu
How can it be P2W if you have nothing to win. Clearing it faster than a F2P player when you’re literally 4 man party and killing the boss together will never make a difference. Also is has ZERO impact in pvp, where the P2W IS AN ISSUE LIKE IN BDO.
