I have a 60% keyboard (it doesnt have the arrow keys)
and I can’t do the Mario phase for clown properly because of this (it’s too hard to hold FN and using WASD then releasing FN just to press W to jump, then holding FN again… etc)
I searched in the game if there was any way to change the arrow keys in the settings just for this phase but there isn’t
so I thought of using a keyboard hot key software to change my < > keys to the arrow keys so I can do the Mario phase comfortably
but I don’t know if this is illegal or not, can I do it without worrying about getting banned?
Hello @CEOdomokoko,
Thanks for bringing this concern to us, regarding this we highly recommend NOT to use any external software since this could be considered an infraction of the Code of Conduct and this can lead into a ban.

What about using programs that has Nothing to do with the game ?
Those should be absolutely and 100% fine.
For example rebinding keys on your keyboards for your whole PC - thus it does not in any way has any impact on the game files or anything.
Like simply switching the buttons - u could switch it so that the F button would work as M button. That is a common thing to do and should be always fine
Hello @Borbarad,
Even though the program has nothing to do with the game if allows you to use your hardware like keyboard or mouse in a different way that is supposed to in-game, the game could recognize this as a hack and that would lead on a ban, so is highly recommended not to use this software’s under any circumstance.
The link shared on my post above has all the allowed options in case you need to have any special feature added to your hardware to play the game comfortably.

Thank you, however i have to mention that this simply changes the positioning of keys basically.
Its like if you made a custom keyboard that has those buttons changed to such positions. And such custom keyboard would be fine, this follows the same logic.
I totally understand your point and is completely valid however since this could be considered a grey area, and we don’t have information with such detail like the one you mention, so on a first stance I would recommend you not to use it, however I will escalate this and see if someone from the team reviewing this cases can give us a clearer view.
I will update you once I receive a response, sadly this can take a few days or even weeks so I appreciate your patience.
Cheers!
Thanks, yeah, this is more for the people with disabilities etc.
I believe this should be 100% fine, so - will see i suppose ![]()
