it stops being applied when a gear reach lvl 15 not you being 1415 btw

Oh man - I made an error, I for some reason didnt read and didnt realize those expire, so i hardly used them saving them. Guess its time to bring some of my 1370 alts up a bit just to consume them before they gone
if they are working for you better use them while they are

Some Misinformation in this thread.
The books are 20%, NOT 25%.
The books (like ALL BOOKS) are only usable on Gear up to LEVEL +15. They cannot be used above +15 honing.
Your GEAR LEVEL DOES NOT MATTER. You CAN be above 1415 and still use the books as long as the gear piece is not +15 or higher.
They were bugged in the last patch that they are not showing up in the book like on gear lower then +15. It was Acknowledged by Roxx that a fix would be coming in an upcoming maintenance.

Eh? Yeah you made an error. They don’t work.
For others, they haven’t worked for few weeks now. It was kinda expected that todays update would fix it. They’ve acknowledged the bug and we should get a fix. We didn’t, yet.
I think roxx stated it was to be in next weeks maintenance, not this weeks.
just checked and nope - they are not workin’ If its a known issue, those hopefully will be extended out a month
Doesnt work for me either. My gear is at +8 so definitely should be available for me but it isnt.
We’re waiting on a fix for this, and unfortunately it didn’t come in this week as we’d hoped. We will be extending the length for use on these books once it gets resolved, though!

It’s not fair, I used them because they’re not supposed to be able to use them with the scouter because they would expire that day before the update, now they can just use them on the new character…

How will the game producers know how many we have left (I have 5 weapon 21 tailoring). AND equally important will they consider giving us some other materials that we have lost while using the 10% books waiting for some distant “fix” on these. We do try to keep up constant improvement.
Oh I should have saved for scouter, since we are getting no events for him 
that would be nice to extend it. so we can all use it on scouter release 
and i hope it show up when honing
So at this point I should just wait to use everything last second in case an issue arises in hopes for an extension?
Any chance for giving out more? I try my best to use the dates you provide us with this stuff but it always backfires on me. Or is this just going to be another HAH gotcha it’s the devs fault so the player pays for following the deadline.
Seriously??? If we knew it would have been extended with the new character so many people would have saved, I instead wasted all the books on a character I was going to replace with Scouter BECAUSE every cm was so confident Scouter was NOT going to receive any events/help.

Exactly this. I have tried since the start of the game to use the information and sometimes inside knowledge they give us on here to plan but it always backfires.
Whether it’s a delayed update, wrong info on login events, or the last second notifications on something. There inconsistent updates and random bugs have actually costed me thousands of gold but the 5 day aura will make me feel better I guess.
Any updates on this one at this time? just ran into it and… oof it hurts on that honing haha
