America is the 2nd largest consumer of Anime in the world, behind Japan. One of the most popular characters in one of the most popular recent animes (Cyberpunk) was a barely clothed loli, Rebecca. In Demon Slayer you have Nezuko.
You can sit there and try to falsify a belief that the West doesn’t like cute characters/loli’s/anime type shit, but your lying to yourself. They like them more than they like anything else.

Isn’t it more the fact that you can’t get into legion raids with a DPS character?
And the fact that you can get in easy peasy with a support?
Sure there are some RMT DPS accounts that get in easy and aren’t gate kept but not everybody is comfortable spending thousands of dollars on RMT websites with the very real risk of getting banned.
You don’t have to worry about gate keeping and competing with tons of RMT players in raids when you are playing with a support.
This very reason is why Artist is so important
