Engravings don’t make you good, neither meta classes.
You would be surprised of the amount of 1445+ with perfect engravings and stats , playing meta classes with meta builds, that simply fail at simple mechanics or rotation.
If you like a class, play that class, learn the skills, sinergies, mechanics of bosses which will help you know when to dump your kit and when not to, etc.
It’s the player that’s good , not the class.
You should tell that to people recruiting thinking they have the world in their hands
Well this is not OP’s issue. There is no way a pug leader can know how good a player is. The only things you are showing are stats, engravings, and gems.
i will suggest the same thing i suggest in most MMORPG : find a good guild. some casual guilds have a really good activity, people trying to do the daily/Weekly easy content together instead of PU, guild are not just for top end content, and progress, but simply “having people to speak and play with”
People complain about LA being a lot “solo game” for various reason. They are right, the game with the ilvl needed strictly for X or Y content can be a problem.
But a living casual guild manage easily to play together.
Actually I take one thing back from my initial statement which is that in KR there doesn’t seem to be class discrimination even in the top 0.1% of players. Of course they have certain classes that everybody universally prefers like supports and Gunlancer and DB due to speed/back/head attack buff. But I don’t think they actively discriminate any one particular class EXCEPT Reaper. Cuz most Reapers die very quickly.
Sadly it doesn’t help. I’m am very well optimised and still getting rejected playing as a sharpshooter.
That’s just wrong. There is absolutely class discrimination in KR. I believe ATK, Saitone, and Benji have all said there was class discrimination for destroyer, soulfist, arcana, and reaper. There was a poll done a while ago in kr which was the most “preferred” classes which could also indicate class discrimination. I believe striker was at the bottom of that list.
I already mentioned Reaper and Striker is one of the highest dps classes in KR at the moment.
This is why: people come from games where they train your brain to follow meta and the disparity between the classes mattered way more… it absolutely should stop as lost ark is a different game closer to that of FFXIV when it comes to playing classes. Arguably not as balanced, but the game is very friendly towards playing what you enjoy.
What those streamers mean is that they are less preferred. Those classes aren’t actively rejected. Reaper is the only class that is actively rejected in KR at the moment.
I discriminate people that get engravings over stats.
It ultimately comes down to whether you care more about efficiency or results. Everything I’ve ever heard about KR and JP gamers is that they don’t really care about what you’re playing so long as you’re able to clear the content, whereas Western players overwhelmingly care about being efficient, results be damned. Like, for the Western audience it’s more valuable to save a theoretical .5secs on your clear time under the most optimal conditions possible than it is to actually be able to do the mechanics and actually clear the fight, which is such an ass-backwards approach to content.
just make your own group and avoid the headache, they don’t invite you? Fine, go make your own group and invite who ever you want bro, why you sitting here complaining about this instead of doing something about it your self? You can fix this problem your self simply by just creating the group, you can take who ever you want and deny who ever you want, but if you don’t want to put the effort of making a group then you have be stuck with all the deny you seem to be getting.
Just so there’s no confusion about what I’m saying. In KR region if you are an Arcana or Soulfist (which are not generally preferred), but you have good gear and gems, they won’t reject you. However if you’re a Reaper and even if you have good gear and gems there’s decent chance you get rejected because Reaper is so squishy that a lot of people find it not worth it to take one along.
I know its sad i get rejected on my alt scrapper too… she is 1385 3331 and still having a hard time with fox groups sometimes… the thing is players who rejekt certain clssses in easy contet are just usaly bad and lacks game knowlege… i just check if people have the right stats and right engravings when creating groups becuse i rather have someone with right stats 2 engravings then domination and 3 engravings… and i dont care at all what class it is unless im looking for support specificly…
dude the simple solution to all this is just to create your own group, why do you all want to join another group then get deny and complaint? You can easily make your own and people will join. Yes it takes time but its better than you getting deny 10 times in a row. That or stop complaining and use matchmaking, yes it works, no its not efficient, but you still can get stuff done(except maybe Argos p3/Valtan)
I think KR Lost Ark players have more rigid engraving requirement and in the west they have more rigid class requirement. But these things can change in the future.
Just make another group looool and take x5 more to find a healer in that group you just created because of the lack of healer in this game…
you need a support for every content in this game? I’ve cleared p1 Argos with 0 support, I’ve done p2 with 1, like bro you don’t need a support for half of these thing except for Legion raid or Argos p3(even this only probably need 1)
This is why you have problem filling group, because you think 4 dps is unable to do what 3 dps and 1 support can do…this is why you have headache lol, just roll with what ever for these content EXCEPT for legion raid which yes require a proper group.
I think whatever content is the hardest at that given moment requires support. For example now there are people solo carrying Valtan with a single SH or DB or even Reaper in KR. But then again I don’t feel like Argos required support ever but that’s just me. Every time I did Argos 3 there were support in every group but half the time the supports didn’t really do anything and died early in stage 3 so I guess Argos doesn’t really require one.
