Alright. Since you released your community letter I’d like to talk about one of the most grindy systems left in the game (Yeah I think Rapport is more grindy than Una’s fight me.)
If you are a newish player or do not care about horizontal content much… what purpose do Rapport characters even serve at this moment? I think the system needs a touchup almost as direly as Sailing does (which you’ve already brought up). So… what can be done to adjust the system? Here’s a few ideas that I think could help out.
-Reduce Rapport EXP needed
Alright. I’ll say it: Not on a global base. I get why NPCs like Nineveh and Beatrice take lots of Rapport points. But some people just aren’t worth the points and effort you invest into them. I’m looking at like Zinnervale and most of the Punika NPCs. So those characters could do with a touchup in terms of EXP needed.
-Improve Rewards
I’m not saying to bring the rapport gold back (though that would help as well) but let’s be real. Why would you ever rapport characters like Morina or Vivian? Their rewards are absolutely not worth it. Not even for the adventurer’s tome. So I think a slight touchup on the rewards in general would help. Perhaps even bringing content from other things in there to ease accesibility. (The Sea Bounties from sailing coops are what I’m looking at here).
-Remove Rapport NPCs
This is a very drastic step and I don’t think it would be easy because I’m not a coding smart and I don’t know how this would interfere with the adventurer’s tome… but in the current state of the game: I wouldn’t cry a single tear if rapport characters like Morina or Tanay or Zenri (especially the latter… I hate that NPCs on another level. What a moron.) were sniped from existence.
Honestly the only reward I needed to grind rep on all the NPCs was the Golden Horse from the Ignea rewards. Was well worth the grind, of which rapport was never the last thing holding me back. I wouldn’t say it was the most fun, but I think the reward for those who do it is fine in the end.
i personally got all raport npc’s finished as f2p and a ton of raport items sitting there waiting for elgacia
But im playing this game for a year so yeah i had a lot of time for that also back when i was doing these raports there was that sweet gold that is no longer a thing.
I do agree that the rewards compared to how long it takes (except for few npcs that gives ex. giants hearts) is just bad and rewards should be reworked for most of the npcs.
Bound materials, maybe some bound leggies books for the harder raports, shards, even a freaking potion’s boxes would be something. Maybe some cool cosmetics for finishing a set of npcs? For example every “ruler” of the continent like thirian/azena/nia would give you a crown skin or something, every neria would give you a song/emote or whatever it would be so much better than what we have now.
There could also be a big juicy rewards for completing all continents/all islands etc
I think you mean Radiant Golden Cloud… that one has a long dash with a 5 second cooldown, easily best mount in the game for general travel (the Azure Isle horses are better but restricted to that island).
The PVP terpions are better as well as they play music with their ability (as they glide).

They are there for horizontal content. if you dont like doing rapport you dont have to do it. its optional content unlike some other stuff in the game.
whats next complain about mokoko seeds being locked behind adventure tome items?
