I have not been able to select the region I play in (NA West) for 10 days now. It prompts me with the same message every time if I select any region other than South America. I have contacted Amazon support multiple times and they have not been able to help me. I have tried Steam file verification, repair easy anti-cheat, restarting router, and repair firewall none have worked. I would appreciate any help.
Hey man, are you using VPN?
Make sure your region settings for your PC are also set to North America…
nah i dont use vpns and it all started since the game had updated
Tried uninstalling and reinstalling?
Also, again, make sure your Windows region settings are set to North America, also look at Steam settings maybe?
sadly I have gone to restarting my whole pc and it has not worked only thing that works is my hotspot but that isn’t a viable fix since it still lags a lot
By restarting your whole PC do you mean, reformatting or reinstalling Windows?
You did reinstall Lost Ark or no?
And you are able to connect on your hotspot but not your home internet connection?
There’s your smoking gun… look at settings on your router or contact your ISP for help resolving that shit.
First, reboot your router AND modem… have them both off at the same time, then let modem fully boot first.
I had to redownload everything since I got a new CPU and motherboard while I was at it and upgraded to Windows 11
I’ve contacted them and they said there was nothing on their side but I have access to router settings although idk what any of it means
I’ll try the reboot real quick rn
nope
Where are you from actually? Maybe a region check has been implemented.
California
Call your ISP and have them reset things from their end, could be your old PC’s MAC is registered at the same IP or something weird… in any case, see what they can do to troubleshoot.
And are you using the modem and router your ISP provided to you or ones you bought yourself?
Provided
Hello! There’s been a handful of users on the forums who’ve also encountered this issue. You mentioned you could connect using a hotspot but not through your home broadband. It seems you may be having the same ISP issue.
There are some temporary workarounds in this thread, I have also reported this as an issue to the team.
I’m moving this thread to the game support section, our forum support staff may be able to help with some troubleshooting for you.
any clue on which VPN I should try and won’t it get me banned?
Hello @Marioftheastral and thank @OminousOnion for moving this over and thank you all for your input,
I am sorry to hear you are having issues connecting to our servers. Please note the error you are posting is based on how your connection is coming in to our servers so it is safe to say, if you are not using a VPN, something in your connection or your ISP is redirecting it to look like you are from South America.
Unfortunately, there is not much we can do on our end when that occurs but here are just some basic things you can check that may help:
1- Please verify the integrity of game with the Steam integrity check
How To run a Steam Integrity Check
2- Close other applications that may be taking up your bandwidth.
3- Switch to a wired connection.
4- Restart your router and modem.
5- Troubleshoot your firewall.
-Press Windows + R, type “firewall.cpl” into the Run window, and then press Enter.
-Click Allow an app or feature through Windows Firewall and then click Change settings.
-Look for the game in the list of allowed apps and features. If it’s present, make sure it’s checked, and that both the Private and Public columns have a check mark. If the app is missing from the list, you need to add it.
*Click Allow another app…, locate and select the app, then click Add.
*Once you’ve done that, you need to ensure that the app is checked, and that it has check marks under both the Private and Public columns.
6- Test your connection for packet loss or buffering. To test, go here and click the big Start Test button to start the test. Once the test is complete, the results are displayed.
7- Verify you are not using VPN or proxy services. (Note the use of VPN is not permitted when connecting to our servers).
8- Check your network and with your ISP for their use of VPN or proxy redirects.
Good luck and see you in Arkesia! ![]()

Hello @Marioftheastral,
I am sorry to hear the troubleshooting did not clear it for you. Other things you may want to check up on are how your network and ISP is routing your connection and if anything can be modified in that sense.
This scenario will require our tech team to look into your logs and follow up directly with other possibly sensitive account information that is best not posted on the forums so it would be better if you could please create a web ticket by going to Contact Us | Amazon Games.
Please, do not hesitate reaching out to live support to have this looked into.
See you in Arkesia! ![]()
Hello @Marioftheastral,
I am sorry to see that support had no additional troubleshooting to offer, although I can assure you this is not an “emerging issue”.
Having exhausted the troubleshooting we have to offer, I can only suggest checking how your connection is being routed by your Network or ISP, on which we do not have any specifics we can guide you on.
Good luck and see you in Arkesia! ![]()
