after the update i get this error
and the game will not start …

Just came to post the same thing. Game has run fine for months. Two different computers in our house are now receiving this same error.
Tried restarting Steam, rebooting, verifying Lost Ark game content files. None of it helped. 
Somehow i only had 3gb update and my friend did say he had 8,4gb update?

Thank you for taking the time to reach out to us, I’m so sorry to hear that you’re having issues with the game after the patch.
In this case I recommend you to try this:
- Close Steam
- Open Steam as administrator
- Verify files integrity on Steam
- Restart PC
- Launch game.
It’s possible that after the update one file went missing, so a file verification will help us.

I’ve tried this already, i even deleted the file before verifying file integrity. Still didn’t work
Same, not working.
Ran fine since release and on this patch it went bonkers.
Even tried replacing the files, updating the moon and the the planets aligned… nothing.

Well i just unistalled it. AND now i am waiting to be installed again. IF it is fixed ill tell you soon

me neither. but any solution i found online was useless…
Our only hope is if they decide to roll out some hotfix for Win7 users but since the OS is no longer supported I guess we are all fucked.
Let us know if reinstalling works, makes no sense tho. Should be able to validate it in, same thing.
