I was literally just playing the game earlier today. There was a small update and now I cannot get past the EAC load. It just tells me “Launch Error Failed to start the game (2)”. I have tried windows updates, i have tried repairing EAC, I have tried msconfig disabling all other 3rd party systems, and I just got done uninstalling the game and re-installing it. I had this issues on launch day as well when the servers finally cam back on, after playing tuesday through friday, and it did this then eventually stopped. I just cannot figure out what is happening…this is so upsetting. I had a similar problem with EAC playing battlefield 2042, never figured it out there either. Literally just couldn’t play for a month. No assistance at all. I just find that so unacceptable, so hopefully this time it is different. I freaking love this game, and for a crap program to just not let me play is driving me insane.
Check your anti-virus/firewall. You may have to allow the exe file.
Idk which anti/firewall you have, but it should be similar

I am having this same problem after the update and nothing works. I did everything suggested on the forums including deleting WR and adding the safe files. This really sucks. They better patch this garbage.
This worked. I just put the game and any EAC files and scripts onto my webroot whitelist. No issues now. Before it locking me out, I always had to launch it two times before it would go through. Thanks for the tip!
