After a part of the community chose wrong the character they wanted for the express pass i thought nothing would surprise me but it seems it was a contest and some guys are taking it personal.

I constantly put items up higher than they’re selling for. Why? Cuz someone may be desperate enough to pay above market value for it. Does it make me a scammer? Or just smarter?

I do same ppl dont check what they are buying, whats wrong with that ? This is my price if for u is too high dont buy, I dont force anyone.
Wasn’t there a dialogue asking you if you really want to bid on it?
It always asks me if I buy something for more than it usually costs…
But do you think they read that? Cuz I have a felling that a a lot of ppl skip it and even the price then come here to cry. like this guy :)))))

since when has there ever been a bid canceling feature with no repercussion in any mmo game? at the very least you will lose some of the bid if you want to cancel it. can you refuse to pay for an item after you bid on it in an auction in real life? (you probably can but they will ban you forever).
whats next buying something from the market place from another player and then asking for your gold back? everyone knows he made a mistake guess what i have made a lot as well but i dont come to the forums asking for my items back because i sold them at a lower value.
as for the op any goodwill and empathy you may have received went out of the window when you called that person a scammer. just accept the L and move on.

Before accepting the bid close the game and just redirect the op to website stating basic rules of auctions.

Level 6 gems are 1700-1900 buyout usually, 500-600 for level 5 gems on EUC. It’s not NA.

I literally said not to allow bid cancelling if its under 5 minutes or 10 minutes left or whatever.
It would be a simple - are you the first bidder? did you place your bid very recently and is there still 5min+ on the timer? ok here you go, you can cancel it 1x per day.
Anyway, not sure why I was surprised by the sheer toxicity of a lot of these comments.
I’m not calling the devs stupid like some people suggest, I would just like a small change to an existing feature to be able to avoid this situation for myself and others if it ever occurs again.
Like others suggested, if there are hundreds of gems at level 5 all for 500-600g, and all level 6 gems are listed 1600-1900, with multiple of all of them listed, its kinda obvious what the guy was going for no? Dont be toxic ****s with your ‘learn to read’
