since when has there ever been a bid canceling feature with no repercussion in any mmo game? at the very least you will lose some of the bid if you want to cancel it. can you refuse to pay for an item after you bid on it in an auction in real life? (you probably can but they will ban you forever).
whats next buying something from the market place from another player and then asking for your gold back? everyone knows he made a mistake guess what i have made a lot as well but i dont come to the forums asking for my items back because i sold them at a lower value.
as for the op any goodwill and empathy you may have received went out of the window when you called that person a scammer. just accept the L and move on.

If the post was only about canceling a bid on a item in AH i will be all for it, even tho that could be used to overprice the items
I literally said not to allow bid cancelling if its under 5 minutes or 10 minutes left or whatever.
It would be a simple - are you the first bidder? did you place your bid very recently and is there still 5min+ on the timer? ok here you go, you can cancel it 1x per day.
Anyway, not sure why I was surprised by the sheer toxicity of a lot of these comments.
I’m not calling the devs stupid like some people suggest, I would just like a small change to an existing feature to be able to avoid this situation for myself and others if it ever occurs again.
Like others suggested, if there are hundreds of gems at level 5 all for 500-600g, and all level 6 gems are listed 1600-1900, with multiple of all of them listed, its kinda obvious what the guy was going for no? Dont be toxic ****s with your ‘learn to read’
It would be a nice feature indeed, but what happened to you does not mean he was trying to scam anyone. He might have misclicked the gem and put a level 6 for the price he put the 5th instead.

I don’t see why they should make some like canceling the auction. If you simply search for “Level X Farsea” eg you won’t see other levels then the ones you specified. Problem solved
EDIT: so even IT IS a scam - and yes it is more than unfortunate that you have been distracted - you could have avoided it or at least “pay the price for not being able to see it” this time. It won’t happen to you again.

Ya not sure why your accusing him of being a scammer depending on the class it might be a little more if none are available. i see Tier 5s going for 1k - 1400G on NAE depending on class
