Not sure if this is the right place, but I have been trying to purchase a 100 dollar crystal pack in game and keep getting a purchase error. A quick search of this and I found it has been happening to 100’s of people. I am able to make small purchases. The point is I have been dealing with Amazon and Steam customer support for hours today and I’ve had 3 people just leave, one person said they did not get paid enough to solve problems like this. I was taken aback and took some snipits of the conversation. Screenshot below. It’s just frustrating trying to get a little help in resolving this issue, only to have people that work for amazon not willing to try and resolve it. This guy just immediately left after I explain the problem, this was the 3rd time this happened.
Can you try and activate Steam Guard for your account? The one that requires you to use codes using the Steam application on your phone. I can’t be sure but maybe the reason you can’t do big purchases is because of AGS system that tries to prevent RMT and Bots, requiring your account to be “Verified”. There’s also another system from steam that requires you to have bought some games beforehand as well to have you “Trusted”
As for the support person, it’s really sad to see this. They should be there to help you or at the very least try and leaving a conversation like this isn’t professional.

Thanks guys, I will read this. My steam account is really old and has 100 or so games I think. I also am able to buy crystals in game, just can’t buy the 12000 crystal pack priced at 99.99. I was able to purchase the 9.99 one.
I do have the Steam Guard active and APP on my phone, as well as linked my Amazon and Steam accounts. I will read this post completely though and maybe I missed something, Thanks for your ideas.

Regarding your concern with the purchase all the purchase related issues with Lost Ark is directly handled by Steam, sadly we don’t have the possibility to provide any assistance related to it.

@Paragon78x I am not sure of exactly how you are doing the purchase but I do have one question you might answer.
Do you have enough funds in your steam account already to continue with the purchase ?
Thank you, I have since contacted steam and they have resolved the issue. It appears that steam had a limit set on my account on purchases and I was able to purchase the 9.99 package of crystals but not the 99.99 one. I have now had the problem resolved.
I was finally able to after several attempts speak with a customer service representative and this person was very helpful and basically explained to me the same thing you did. It was just a little frustrating to have wasted so much time trying to get it resolved, although the rest of my experience with customer support was better and quite pleasant with the exception of few bad ones.
