Cant login since updates

The selected region is closed. Cannot connect to server.

I thought it was just maintenance but I can’t login for several days now…

Hey there @chuck_iv,

Sorry to hear you are having issues connecting to the server.
Will gladly assist.

There’s a couple of things we can rule out to start. Have you tried connectivity troubleshooting? Have you tried using your mobile as a hotspot? are you receiving an error message?

How about some troubleshooting.

-From the Start/Windows Menu, select Settings.
-Select Network and Internet.
-In the Status section, under Change your network settings, select Change adapter options.
-When the Network Connections window opens, right-click your network connection.
-Select Properties.
-Scroll to Internet Protocol version.
-Uncheck the Internet Protocol Version (TCP/IPv6) box.
-Select OK to save your changes for the selected network adapter.
-Try launching the game again.
-A PC restart may be necessary.

  • Troubleshoot your firewall. Try adding Windows firewall exceptions manually:
-Press Windows + R, type “firewall.cpl” into the Run window, and then press Enter.
-Click Allow an app or feature through Windows Firewall and then click Change settings.
-Look for the game in the list of allowed apps and features. If it’s present, make sure it’s checked, and that both the Private and Public columns have a check mark. If the app is missing from the list, you need to add it.
    • Click Allow another app…, locate and select the app, then click Add.
    • Once you’ve done that, you need to ensure that the app is checked, and that it has check marks under both the Private and Public columns.
-Updating your firewall software may help resolve connectivity issues. For instructions on how to update third party firewall software, we recommend checking the support pages provided by your firewall software publisher. If possible, you should also add an exception within your firewall software.
  • Try flush DNS:
    -Click the Start button. …
    -Click All Programs > Accessories.
    -Select Command Prompt.
-In the command prompt window, type ipconfig /flushdns.
    -Press Enter.
-You should see a message confirming that the DNS Resolver Cache was successfully flushed.
  • Perform a clean boot

Let us know how it goes.

Cheers!

thanks but none of this works and I rather play games than fix them.

All my other games work fine.

It was a good run I did over 500 hours but I can’t be bothered with endless hours of troubleshooting to get it to work again. Maybe don’t break the game in updates next time. Be more careful. Oh well.

Hey there @chuck_iv

I see. Sorry you’ve had all this issues.
Will make sure to file a report on this login bug.

Happy gaming,
Best wishes!
