Its just AGS is a brand new company and crap at implementing Bot Control measures. My best advice make leverage for new players, make reasonable boosts for legit players. This way everyone has the opportunity to jump into this game and do lots of content together. Instead of locking stuff up with shitty Rng chances just to get to something like 1445.
That what I’m saying people saying it didn’t work, but I remember running south Vern story and there’s usually a shit ton of bots. Not one single soul was there, just me and my buddy running the story was.
there was literally no bots around luterra or any of the island for the week of captcha being in the game, it was working really well , i was only seeing new players at the starter zone, you clearly did not play EUC / NAW which is why u came up with that conclusion.

I am on NAW. Do you need me to prove it? The bots aren’t concentrated in Luterra anymore simply because they don’t need to.
I am not sure what makes you assumed I was one of the botter. I mean the information is out there, just take some times to find. When the first roll of Captcha was introduced, there was a drop in the bot activity but this is mostly because of a ban wave. I would argue that only ban wave is the only effective method so far AGS/SG has done.
After exactly a day of Captcha in Punika I already saw bots walking in places like Vern, Arthetine and this is on NAW-Valtan server. I am sorry to break it to you but bots already evolved into farming gold other ways than just going from 1-50. They still are doing it, but only when certain event is activated. All this isn’t some grand secret.
There are no level boosting events from January 2023, and bots were swarming from lvl 1- 50 regions. Just last 2 weeks Bot numbers were off the roof. There were literally “Bot Clone Wars” even in Punika regions. This coincided with the absurd increase in Fish and Crystal prices.
Well it is extremely easy for those bots to create account whenever hyper express was introduced.
I am here to say to the other replies that CAPTCHA was working for the first day or so, but after that the bots were already figuring it out because I was already seeing some bots running through Arthentine just fine. In fact I followed one and it was doing all the questing before going off to Vern.
It was only NAW. It was never activated on EUC.

Captcha had a huge impact on the bots. What are you smoking? During the entire duration of the captcha testing, majority of the zones were completely empty of bots save for one or two here and there. Whenever I would excavate in Punika every day when the captcha was around, it was actually really difficult to use my life skill energy because there was only ever 1 channel active. Now? There are 4-5 channels at any given time during the day. Mari server, btw.

Right back at you - what are you even smoking? Arthetine on Valtan literally had 1 train of bots running the entire quest line with Captcha activated.
I will give you that it worked on most bots, but that’s because those have yet to adapt.
As long as there are no bots in Luttera, it worked. Cuz, I constantly see waves of clones every single day I log in there.

Stop digging your grave deeper. Anyone who played on NAW knows for a fact it worked and bots were nonexistent. @Mikumari is actually right here, though usually not.

Bots are like Bacteria in you’re mouth. You need to keep brushing every single damn day to remove 99% of them, only for them to come back the next day.
If AGS/SG thinks its too much of chore, then they are hardly capable of maintaining any MMO.

how do you know they are yet to adapt? why even push that it doesn’t work fully? Working to an extent is better then no action at all unless you actually support having bots in the game? What else are you proposing?

I parked all my character at Arthetine minus may be my main at Punika. Even in Punika I saw at least 2 that were running doing quest.

Actually I am going to disagree on this. None of the methods implement no matter how bad was ever reversed when it is demonstrated to not work. IF we all said let’s put in CAPTCHA, and then the bot bypass it, would you expect AGS/SG to remove that? I don’t think they will.
I will start to agree if AGS/SG actually put effort into monitoring and not relying on automated process. Even a simple ban wave every 2 weeks will work for me. But I bet none of you guys think that’s better than CAPTCHA right?

Are they going to admit to remove that and start doing ban wave periodically because that’s the only thing worked well so far? These are the questions I have meanwhile you guys piling let’s put in captcha and let put in more stuff that never get adjusted.

Bots are a problem, I never deny that. I suggested to do ban wave periodically because that worked well. Captcha is something I don’t want to do because I do also afk in the game.
I mean, it has already been demonstrated that it works. It doesn’t matter what you think AGS will or will not do. You’re kind of just grasping for straws here.
