Dont see them banning carries in the NA version since its considered a normal form of gameplay in every other lost ark region.
Like she mentioned, if its with gold ingame it is allowed. No RMT or outside of the game trade is allowed and gold is part of the game.
That’s is the game itself, can’t change that.
The problem is, that some people has already been banned and the amazon support say that you can be banned for that, it’s the point of this topic.

For your question I don’t think it can be considered as a form of boosting, if someone is bad and need people to carry him even without carrying service he will eventually be in a party that’s gonna carry him.
As the amazon support was refering to LoL Eloboosting there is a main difference, we’re talking about pve content not pvp competitive content and in LoL you can be carried randomly by your team sometimes but that’s not what’s gonna make you a master or something, in lost ark you just need to defeat the content once to move to the next one.
Why not? that person can’t or don’t want to clear X content then in-game skill/power of another player is used to “skip” to the next level… so to speak.
But it’s ok… we can disagree on that one. I just wanted Roxx’s opinion on what does she (or AGS) consider as boosting
I don’t get it… why even play the game if you don’t want to learn and overcome the content on your own? what is the point of getting carried to T3 as you learning nothing and once you there you won’t be able to be carried anymore? and now you are just a newbie in T3 clothing that doesn’t understand basic mechanics like stagger checks…
I also see some pretty disturbing stuff in the find party menu… there was a woman offering “toe and boob pics” for carries and gold, there are countless “daddy please carry me” parties at any given time… its a bit disturbing really. This is on NA East, and if you looking for the toe chick, her name was something momma.
That’s my issue with carries… party finder will become unusable just like in FFXIV until Square-Enix updated their ToS to make clear they will not ban it so long the advertising is done in a special tab (so it doesn’t ruin LFG for people that want to find other players that actually want to do the content)

I can understand you with the “newbie in T3” but as I’ve said in my last post, those “newbie in T3” will still be here, if busses are prohibited they’re still gonna be there because they will spam the content where they’re stuck and they will eventually be carried by some players in their party which don’t change anything to the problem to having newbie in T3, no matter if it’s allowed or not those people who don’t care about mechanics etc are gonna be there in T3 no matter what.
ya but there is a world of difference between them eventually getting there (and hopefully maybe pick up some experience/knowledge through many failed attempts until they get lucky with the random carry) and us basically making a highway for them to do so by making carries common and expected. Plus a lot of people are incredibly greedy, if they can make gold off it then they will push it beyond limits and soon it will be all that you will see in “find party” menu.
I don’t think it will be that bad, I mean I didn’t play both KR or RU ver. but it seems that there is a limit of which content you can carry or not and I’ve seen people says that the very end game content can’t be “carry” that much but as I didn’t play KR/RU ver. I can’t tell you that’s 100% the truth.
A lot of player already played the KR/RU ver. and are aware of the carry services but I didn’t see anyone complaining yet, since it’s a F2P friendly way to make gold (and in our version it seems that we can’t make as much gold as F2P than the other versions of the game), if it was that cancerous I think that both KR/RU playerbase would have complained.

There is not a fixed definition for that term. What it might be for you it might not be for others and since it is a term for gaming there can not be defined logically.
Aaand that’s why is important that AGS define it clearly in their ToS…
You can’t define something that is subjective and they never will. Stick to what she said and that is the best you can get out of this.

Not really. You dont have to pay anyone to help you do your gaurdians. It’s 100% optional and doesn’t hurt anyone who doesn’t want to do it. Someone might have limited time for a day and choose to pay for a carry to get it done quickly instead of hoping for matchmaking success. Both parties leave happy.
Read again and stop going around loops and over complicating things unless this is your first MMO then do what you want. In KR what you call boost its also called Bus, taxi service whatever and its with ingame gold therefor is permitted.
How did selling carries kill a game? It’s been a thing in the last 20 years of MMOs. If you don’t have friends to carry you, you can pay a stranger.
