CEST or Central Europe Summer Time (yes, another one)

are you ever going to set the in-game time correctly? last weekend 27/03/2022, we switched to summer time (yeah, a useless invention), but it would be nice if you did the same. because now some events begin too late.

another solution would be to leave the time a it is, but set all events one hour earlier… including the daily reset.

UTC didn’t switch to summertime, UTC has no summer time, another thread another same answer, the server is on UTC not on any localised time.

A lot of different countries have different summer time starts (Yes even in Europe, in fact even in certain countries, some parts of France have DST on different days.)

EUW timer is UTC which is very easy to follow. As i know in EUC is CET which is problematic with the changing time.

EUC is UTC+1 not CET, if you hover over the clock top left it says that each server is based off UTC

Ok i don’t play on EUC and i don’t how it is exacly. But in EUW is pure UTC and it’s easy.

Yep, fairly simple both servers, not sure why so many people keep bringing it up as ā€œincorrectā€ just because their country changed the clocks…

As a note the EU are planning to remove DST in the next 2 years (the plan was halted by Brexit and the issue of a non unified Ireland)

then the system should let us set in which time zone we want to play.

Why? How is that a decent use of dev time vs bugfixing or new content?

Give the game a SERVER TIME like many other games and all events is at SERVER TIME, then it’s up to one and each to find out what time that is in your country… simple solution so much whining over this.

or they can just link it to your machine time calculating events based on that, problem solved

Game events were always working at server time.
It is terrible user experience if the game can’t convert it into local time.

This only shows how much thought was put into actual user experience…

I agree with you, but from a F2P game I don’t expect it to be 100% perfect.
If Lost Ark would be monthly subfee… I would expect more, like WoW (well way back when it was a good game), FFXIV etc.

You are asking for a 16 hours of server maintenance during prime EU time you know that right?

There is no reason to expect lower quality product based on method of paying for it.

This game is filled with time sensitive tasks (unlike WoW), it has to get it right and it is not really that hard because every application can get system time. It’s not like it needs manual changes for every country.

time NEEDS to be right in this game, because of how much you depend on being at certain locations at VERY specific times!

having to think and re-adjust manually everytime you want to do any event is SUCH an annoyance in the long run.

and with certain events only happening like 6 times per week (sea-gates e.g.) missing those is just no fun.

is it hard to do ±1 math in your head? no obviously not but its also not 1990 anymore and we should NOT have to discuss this in the first place…

Soon 2 weeks since daylight saving and in-game clock still not updated. Please fix this as correct time is very important in this game.

Smol indie company.
