Changes to make the game better

Hey. Here are some changes I feel that would make the game more fun and enjoyable to play.

Combat:
The game has excellent combat, lots of fun classes to find your own playstyle.
However when it comes to bossing, the introduction part is missing crucial information.
If a player does not look up on guides for wipe mechanics, or have someone explain to them how to defeat the boss before going in, then the player has no idea what is coming.

All bosses should have an information box, either in a Codex or in the Menu before entering a dungeon that explains the basics behind the mechanics. In addition to this, Early game bosses should have their mechanic animations slowed down, have popups (enable/disabled in settings) that tells you how to counter them, and be more forgiving. This will let people learn about stagger checks, projectile positioning, debuff cleansing, Counter attack etc. without being a burden to their team.

Loading screen info:
As a new player to lost ark, Information shown in Loadscreens are quite nice, however as you enter your destination as soon as you finish loading, people that load fast will struggle getting all the information.

For this I suggest that we have the help info screens available somewhere else in-game. This way New players can read all the information in their own time.

You could also allow for people to disable these information screens when they have read them, and allow for all that cool art you previously had to be returned.

Progression:
Currently the game is based around doing Daily/Weekly content to obtain progression materials. While having Daily/Weekly content that gives extra bonus resources is a very nice thing, it should never be the designed way to progress your character.

At the moment, the way to play properly is to just have multiple characters that you run daily activities and trade over all of those rewards. Then you either log off and wait for daily reset, or try to have fun with your friends and guild while not being reward for your time spent doing content with them, or you run around doing collections to get rewards that improve your roster.

This for me generate a environment where I need to play other characters than the one I want to play, or make multiple clones of the same class in order to progress within the game.

What I want is to be able to play on my Main character, and progress my main character at the same time.

Chaos dungeon - At T1/T2 we are limited to 750 Guardian stone and 250 Destruction stone, 7500 Green/Blue XP shards, 20 T1 Leapstone and 30 T2 Leapstone every week.
It takes 2-3 hours of chaos dungeon farming to get enough currency to buy the entire stock.
It would be cool if this had a daily reset, or increase limit or become unlimited.

Guardian raid - After the initial 2 souls, they no longer grant any reward.
Should at least drop 25% of daily bonus drop on each kill, feel free to have the resources bound.

Una’s Task - 3 quick tasks for your preferred reward
Should have longer repeatable tasks with less/different rewards.

There is no reason to have T1 and T2 progression being capped by Daily resets, because all accessories/gems/gear have to be swapped out when you reach T3.

Trade Skills:
Trade skills in the current form is a way to obtain resources to craft supplies to help you during combat. But it is limited to 4320 energy each day or 3 energy / minute.
Because you are so very limited with your skilling energy, you have to make a choice on what to focus on. With the current resource prices, the best way is to do Archeology and Foraging and sell the resources and buy whatever materials you want.

This make training Trade skills more about searching for the right resources in your area, rather than gathering what you see.

What I would like to see is that the Trade skill energy becomes a Bonus resource meter. This would either give double resources, or higher chance at rare resources. This way people can continue skilling after the Trade skill energy has been depleted and don’t have to worry that much about collecting the right resources.

Economy / Marketplace:

Item limits:
Item limits, currently you are only allowed to have 10 stacks/singular items within the market and auction house. This severely limits the available items for sale at any time. something that is not good for stable prices, especially when you have thousands of unique combinations of jewelry/gems/gear/ability stones.

Time limits:
Time limit of 24h or 72h is not long enough to keep a stable economy, because that means that everything available within the marketplace has to be added within the past 3 days. When the player numbers continue to dwindle, this would be an increasing issue, as the already very specialized stat system would fight uniqueness and time windows in order to find a buyer/seller.

Buy order:
Currently we do not have the ability to place a buy order.
By adding buy orders, people can see what people are currently willing to pay for X resource or Y Unique item. This would allow people to slow-buy resources, and create a sturdier price floor among items.

Pheons:
This is probably one of the most damaging and useless things to every be added to an economy. It completely cripples item trading, as you have to consider the fact that whenever you buy an item on the auction house, you pay 8.5 crystals, which is priced currently at 89 gold on my server (95 crystals=1000 gold).

Pheons should simply be removed…

10 per char seems…a weird limit to impose; I can’t really think of a legit reason to have 10 per char when we have so many alts, at minimum a rosterwide limit would be a big improvement.

I think this is intentional to have the dynamic of resources not being just a static price; if you want X resource on Y day it may well be cheaper with people saving up work energy to finish the guild quest asap etc.

The function of pheons is that it stops people from just flipping items, and it does its job well, while this does lower turnover on the AH it also increases the reward for learning the pricing part of the game, they’re not overly hard to come by if you’re not scalping gear, the login reward gives over 100 a month, more than enough to equip your alts as they raise through T1-3

Limit of only 10 registered items and 72h limit is really outrageous.

Because of that we’re dismantling a lot of items that’d be useful for other people and losing on the joy/gold of putting items in the marketplace or paying too much for what you want. And so the market is “dead” with so few items listed.

There’s no excuse for a game with 20 years to still be like that. It’s like it’s been forgotten with no programmers left to work on those specifics.

pheons only keep people that dont already have a big bank from flipping, because those that have enough gold/money will just not care if they can still make a profit…

it only hinders f2p or “non-hardcore AH players” that just want to supplement their gear.

i like the idea of pheons (stopping AH-flipping) but as it is implemented its just another “milking mechanic” for the most part.
