Is it really possible? Can we create character visual presets in RU version to speed up this process in EU version?
Names are very important to me also and it’s something that seriously bothers me at launch even with headstart from bronze package.
I don’t get it why unlike in other mmos name won’t be available just after delete of character. That’s the normal way of solving this kind of problem in games …
Sure, the game could also launch last year on schedule, but it was delayed. Probably that would be a good way to say sorry and give something back something to the passionate community.
Plus you may not know those marketing tactics, but in such games giving people small things will bring you more profit on the long run, because players will much rather feel like giving back with buying more stuff later on.
If it was a Smilegate, we probably would already have at least an answer.
those names will be taken in seconds and if there was a download button before 8th of feb then more of names will be gone but wanted to ask where the game will be unlocked first ? like what contury will be on 8th before anyone else ?
a good lesson to learn is that in life you cant always get what you want.
so give everyone a free customization coupon? then what?
not everyone is going to be able to get the name they want even if they have a free coupon to change their appearance later on. I don’t see the point.
People seem to keep missing the point as to why this is an issue.
It’s less about actually getting or not getting your name easier, and more that Amazon manufactured an inconvenience specific to our version that we have to give them money to work around.
In other regions you can save a name by creating a character, figuring out your appearance customization, then deleting the original character to get the name back.
In our version the only way to have the same experience is by paying for a cash shop item.
This can be seen as an immoral business tactic and, if unintentional, the Amazon team needs to understand this.
If they are unable/unwilling to change this before launch, then a temporary appearance change ticket distribution for new characters would be a reasonable solution.
These seem to be handed out in events somewhat frequently anyway, so it’s not as if it would be unprecedented.
I guess the problem is because indeed people don’t understand the problem behind it. At that point I don’t really care anymore, gonna click on few presets and choose the one I like the most. But yeah at that point I already lost enjoyment of creating my own character, if that’s what Amazon wants from us then let it be.
