Class popularity - Arcana or Destro

Hi All,
I wanna start LA but I hate popular clasess.
AMT Im thinking bout Arcana and Destroyer Are these 2 classes popular ? Or not rly ?

They’re def not super popular, arcana is very hard to pick up that’s why it’s hard. It’s extremely squishy and damage is rng based on drawing cards. Destroyer is slow but has high potential of dps.

If you want a class that is not very popular (though I find the “I hate popular stuff”-Attitude questionable), then you should pick Arcana, Sharpshooter or Deadeye, with Deadeye being the least played class in 1415+ right now, at least to my knowledge.

So far I have seen very few Arcanists and a bit more Destros. (well… naturally since Arcana came out later)
Both are fun to play and actually those two are my main and 1st twink :smiley:

I made destroyer because I thought it would look hilarious running around with a giant hammer, he turned out to be really tanky with good dps so now he’s my main lol, no support on my team is never an issue with the rage hammer build giving you shields for all you main damage skills. Very new player friendly in my opinion.

I have no experience or knowledge on arcana that’s all the info I can offer, good luck to you!

I wouldnt recommend Arcana as your first class.
It’s a very high skill (or more like knowlgede) ceiling than most other classes and does not reward you for it.
I am maining her rn and it has been a rollercoster of having fun and regretting it.
TLDR of her cons:

  • extremely squishy yet mostly melee
  • needs hell of time to use her identity cards the right way (just being able to memorize them is not the hard part about them) while playing a quite high apm class
  • you need to build the lesser used build on her for solo content like chaos dungeons as her more popular build ONLY shines in a boss fight situation
  • even if you master her your dmg is only average (she has the potential do to the highest dmg but that depends on your rng cards and less on your mastery of the class)

If these points dont bother you go ahead and join the club of masochists :partying_face:

I actually see a lot or at least a normal amount of those. Soulfist maybe a bit less, but Fighter classes are not unpopular. Or rare so far.

:hammer: destroyer is a lot of fun, arcana is hard to play and you’re going to have the stigma of people that it’s a low damage class

Getting picked up for any sort of group content as a brand new player, and a Arcana main to boot, will be challenging. Best of luck though.
