See that’s fine and well, but if this stuff is happening it just needs communicated. What you are doing is no more speculation than anyone else. Transparency and honesty are what I’m seeing a lot of people ask for.
Someone is ALWAYS gunna be butthurt and mad about something, but the sheer number of people mad right now isn’t a coincidence, its due to lack of communication at all (good or bad).
Delays are fine as long as they are communicated IMO but keeping people in the dark only causes chaos. At the end of the day people are paying for a product here and I don’t see it as an issue to want to know what they are buying into.
Lmao last NA/EU CM Post :)… in the 7 hours they have work yesterday they posted 1-2times im not blind im asking where they are if Maselbart can moderate germany why cant we have more CMs here in NA/EU ? xD
I asked a while ago for an NA East CM, would be nice to have. Google translate doesnt work for me for the german pages so I have to manually translate each post and its a pain.
It’s a bit tricky for them, because the reality is that most of the onus on meeting dates is on Smilegate, who has to actually deliver them a build. Amazon most likely only needs like a day to do their own QA unless they have a really hardcore soaking process (which is rare for patches).
So then when is the best time to announce the release date? As early as possible, even if they tick people off when their deadline slips (which likely isn’t even their fault)? Once they have the build (again, likely a day in advance at best)? Once they’ve actually verified the build works (likely same day)? There are no easy answers, unfortunately.
I guess they could announce the release date once they’ve gotten and tested the final build, but just sit on it and push the date out a week so people can make plans. I don’t know about you, but I’d rather they not delay their patches that much.
Honestly, I’d be happy with early and being communicative about delays (and I know from what they post a lot of others would too.)
I’d also be happy with them saying its going to be the 28th when in reality they think they can get it done on the 14th, and just sticking with the 28th regardless. I like structure and I hate the unknown. I also like to plan things.
That all being said I’m looking forward to what comes form this quote from Roxx:
“We are going to see if we can provide more transparent information or set expectations in ways that feel better for players.”
Edit: I think the bottom line is the majority of people seem unhappy with this line of communication so they should try a different approach is all.
