Community didn't change after 8 months

i just wanna say that na/eu community still has the same culture after 8 months i left the game after vykas release because it was really hard for me as a dps to find parties for some reason even shit ones i was 1465 ilvl back then level 8 gems/crit card set almost full lvl 4 tripods relic gear 5/5 engraving, people still gatekeept me into geting into their parties! and i was always wondering why like what’s the factors that people look at to invite players into their parties ? then i realise it’s just this community is bunch of players that don’t know how the game works and i had to stop playing after trying everyday for hours to get into parties hoping that if i leave the game for a while the culture will change but sadly i came back to the game 2 days ago literally nothing changed i was geting rejected to a valtan hm party by a guy who had 3/3 engravings! like please if anyone here knows how do people who makes lfg parties pick up players tell me i’m about to quit the game again and i really like it

Exactly why I quit; the community.

People would gatekeep as if the game was life or death and still blow hot ass at actually performing the mechanics or just not being a brainlet, while still wanting only the “best” players in their parties. The community is a joke.

Requiring high ass gear score, engravings, and then they fail basic mechs at vykas.

Pug this pug that. You should be glad you actually CAN do any high end PVE content via pugging.
If it was Wow classic/TBC without a guild - a GOOD one - you wouldn’t be able to do anything above HC dungeon. Blame community as much as you want to, but it’s your fault. Grab a guild or some friends to play together. Hard PVE content is supposed to be difficult, but you insist doing it with random players so you keep failing. What a surprise.

they are not gatekeeping you because of gear, alot of people are waiting for a friend to get on their character to join too, especially when they only have very few slots left or they keep 1 dps slot open in case a support joins and asks to have a slot for a friend

very rarely do people get rejected based on gear alone, you literally just said in your post you were well overgeared and still couldnt get into groups, it cant be the gear alone, nowadays people get into groups with way lower requirements for gear and item level because many groups are doing alt runs for current highest content

Making your own lobby is an option too

Are u perhaps one of those berserker players that keep trying to join 6/8 lobbys with +2 supp in title?

Cause whenever im in those lobbys missing only supps the only dds still applying are berserkers…

Otherwise if the lobby wants a title and u dont have it equipped its no surprise. Same if u want to apply wheres already 1 of ur class in each team. Since taking u would be bad synergy.

People are on a limited time to complete the raids. If they have a full roster they have to do them 6 times. So when they dont have all day they cant “waste” time trying out every person if they play well. So they go for early signs that would indicate game knowledge. No title? Probably new to the raid. Some offmeta engravings/rainbow stats? Probably no idea what they are doing. 20+ ilvl below the entire lobby? Probably looking for a free carry.

And even if none of this is the reason there are still way more options. Waiting fir a friend/guildmate Already intending to invite someone else. Lobby master having to run into the kitchen because the cat turned the oven on and placed the baby inside. Or jeah maybe they dont like the class. As an arcana player i sometimes get the feeling i only get rejected cause im an arcana. But then i join another lobby or create one. Problem solved.

U cant expect that every lobby wants u. Thats simply not how it works. They are trying to build a team and if u dont fit whatever requirements they want they wont take u. And u always have the option to make ur own group and be fhe one setting the requirements. If no one wants to join ur group ur requirements might be to harsh.
If people join groups that dont take u may be not the requirements that are the problem.

Tldr.
Many reasons to not get accepted
Not everything is gatekeeping
Make ur own group
Have a nice day

Make your own room/group.

Problem Solved.

Love it when these kids make lobbies named “high roster” LMAOOO

good decsision.
But tbh the community is built around the game mechanics so actually the game is a joke.
The whole game is built to make you toxic.
For me LA has one of the worst gearprogress/Matchmaking/Daylis i ever saw in a game.

Play BDO, you gonna explode xDd

wdymn it didn’t change , it did change , 90% of the player base left :joy:

tell me you never played wow classic without telling me :joy:
there were pugs everyday in TBC.

How do you know? Maybe they just did not accepted you into the party because they already had a friend that will join soon? You can’t tell. Imo the community is fine and I got to know a lot of nice people. But starting a group is best if you already have a few guildies or friends to join. Trying to get in a group alone is not always easy.

Yeah pugging huntsman in Karazhan :joy:

This has nothing to do with game feedback though which makes me wonder why posting this here was a thing.

This “Community” dog whistle is nothing new. Every single game where there are cooperative game modes that let you choose who you play with have these issues. This is not something the gaming company has any control over and no game company will ever have.

People want to discriminate to maximize success chance before entering a game mode. It is a natural thing. People who run pugs have two options, either create their own group or bend over to the standards of those that create their own group.

I often feel that people who complain or do not like this kind of natural human behavior are those who want to get carried themselves or do not want to put in the work to meet standards. Do you need 5x3 engravings to do content? Probably not even in clown. Can people tell your level of skill before inviting you to content? No, not really. So they need to put gear expectations higher in case people are bad.

Imagine thinking theres hard end PVE content in our current version of the game LMAOO so delusional.

he said high end
