As someone with 13 characters on one roster & 4 on another, I couldn’t agree more.
Everyone got a vacation day, myself included, and it was great!
AGS should consider taking down the servers for an entire week or two around the holidays.

As already replied there, 1/3 of the compensation regards items which arent included in the daily farm, which just inflates the value of said compensation but doesnt fill in for other losses.
Weekly progress, guild runs, dailies, relic drops and so on.
And what does the Pheons/Una tickets/aura/CA give then The Aura and Una tickets are essentially a free set of 1 characters Unas tasks and Chaos dungenons back so yes their value is given and the battle chest items do technically have a gold value to them that you would otherwise have to pay or craft youself.
The only immeasurable cost is the other item drop potential. Otherwise its just time and the people most affected obviously have plenty of time since a 12man roster takes at MINIMUM 6 hours to run all of the daily content each day (30min is roughly the standard for 2 chaos, 2 guardians and the unas per character).
@Roxx I also think the window you’ve provided for receiving the compensation (Sept 16) is unreasonable. The people most impacted by the entire reset day being lost to maintenance are those that have limited opportunity to play the game, and know people that will miss the compensation due to scheduled vacation on top of missing out on their entire opportunity for reset gold on Wednesday. You should consider extending the distribution timelines.

The 16th gives them OVER a WEEK to log in. How is that not enough time to log in once.
Aura: not everyone uses/needs it
Pheons: these are tot ok.
Bombs: there s plenty already and the value serves just the purpose of inflating the package value, by no less than 30%
Auras: 2 wont cover for 6+ chars. Anof covers for just main.
Alts and making the game revolve around them is the winning cars of lost ark. Not only leeps the game alive, gives player the feeling they re never done as they keep gearing grinding and… spending. For gear, engravings, pheons, and skins.
Is say roughly 60% of the income is due to alts.
Having them made necessary to a degree but completely unregarded when compensation is due is per se a meme.
Forgot this.
Yes. And since its not calculable, you should precisely set a bar around a xxx value overall, considering between 1 to 6 chars, so an avg of 3.
Thats precisely why compensations should always tend to be higher than the calculated avg certain loss.
Same time, the MAJORITY of people dont run around with MORE then 6 characters DUE to the real life cost of additional slots beyond 6. Plus the GAINS from alts beyond 6 is halved at least due to the loss of dungeon gold (unless you have 18 charactera at 1460+ running busses) but at the same time, the compensation isn’t targeted towards the whales in the first place.
I dont think they target compensation packages towards teh whales and those with so much money and time to blow.
The AVG player lost 2 characters worth of materials thru dailies due to the built in rest system in the game.
I always state the avg considered should be 6 max. As much as the elegible for gold is.
As for extras, i always think should be between 1 to 6 chars so 3.
Overall as i stated prior; all you would need to do is issuing smaller compensation character based and not account based. Gg ez done
So thus invintivilze even MORE pay to win based on compensation for those with 18 characters vs those with 6. Gotcha. The compensation easily covers a normal 6 man roster by a LARGE amount.
Lemme just go make 6 characters on every server and get a massive compensation bonus then.
No it barely covers it, actually lower and if taking out non relevant bombs it covers 60% of the loss at best.
Imagine compensating a pay2 win game players in acoay to win way. Bonkers right.
Im speaking by experience in another game i used to be a gm on forums. Whenever compensations were issued, they only covered character ls made prior to the issue.
Be sure people not using a char for weeks aint gonna start using them cause they get one aura elixir for a single chaos run, what you re stating is completely moot.
We used to just place an npc at a location ebery main and alt could speak to once.
The system would then issue a compensation on a % base depending on the char level. If tje char level changed between the issue and the compensation (you leveled it up to get more), compensation would be frozen.
I’ll use the chart again for a 1415 character.
Per Day a 1415 Character Gains from Doing Dailies:
~800 Guardian Stones
~250 Destruction Stones
~25 Honor Leapstones (10 of which are sellable)
~5000 Shards
A 6 man roster means 2 characters were lost due to rest bonus thus giving us double teh above values.
~1600 Guardian Stones
~500 Destruction Stones
~50 Honor Leapstones
~10000 Shards
The Support pack that was given alone gives
2400 Guardian Stones
1000 Destruction Stones
100 Leap Stones
This single item alone covers the daily loss of 2 characters. In fact it acts like a redistribution of your bound leaps to the character you need them on.
Plus you are given the items to make up a single character from the Aura of Resonance and Una +1s (only the 2 guardian runs were “lost”)
This alone makes it that for the AVG gamer with a 6 man roster, The 5 day aura, Extra consumables and Pheons are the free bits for the compensation. And with how prices in SA are, I think the Pheons have TREMENDOUS value to them. And to top it off, I didn’t lose much since I was both able to play a few hours after teh servers came up, got my gold island and mokoko events AND my main’s raids all done on top of a few characters dailies.
My free game that wouldn’t let me play for a day didn’t give me enough free stuff. Ignoring that if you give a gold value to the package, it heavily outweighs any daily (you lost nothing weekly) resources intake.
Your example fits would they compensate, as i said, per character and not per account.
By your standards, people using 1 char are plenty happy and people on more arent.
Thats not how you compensate. The difference has to always be on excess. You should give out satisfying amounts for the large rosters, from which single char users would benefit even more. Thus making everyone ok with them.
And again you re completely disregarding random drops, and guild organization being set on fire. Which shouls be both accounted to a preset value included in the compensation.
Naive take. Time or money, none plays for free.
It’s - 16 hours time for 15-20k in resources give or take.
Plus think of all the fun you had on the forums raging about it ![]()
Many players even got a chance to knock out dailies when the servers finally did get back online, kinda like a speedrun reset day.
Simple rule of thumb is patch day for any MMO assume there will be delays, this is not uncharted waters.
Are you a gold seller or somthing? How does missing one day of playing a game impact your life so heavily?
Maybe its time for an extended or permanent break my dude. Addiction is a hell of a think.
I agree compensation is definitely not enough for the 24h maint. We lost gold, we lost dailies, rapport, pretty much everything. and what we get? some mats and 3days aura…
When someone is on vacation for 10 days without access to their PC, is when.
