Compilation of bad work

Chat filter:

The chat filter in this game is the utter worst bs i’ve ever seen in a videogame. There are so many stupidly filtered phrases that you can’t talk basic stuff because its recognized as inappropiate. Feels like they grabbed a 8yo kid and gave them the job.

The moderation system:

This is the most talked one and known. The ban system criteria. It is absurd, ridiculous and badly, horribly designed. You give a friend more than 9999 gold (confirmed), regardless of being for helping him get a skin, mount, or help his progress, automatically flagged as botter and pending for ban. No scan criteria to evaluate if it was legit hard earned thru normal means. Rip. Spending more than a certain time breaking the barrier for the hidden Yorn mokoko? Scheduled for BAN. Google it. “Lost Ark Yorn hidden mokoko ban”. You have always played as expected thru the game. Random ban. Which take us to the next.

AGS/Smilegate support:

Horrible. Terrible. Indifferent. Unefficient.
Apparently very understaffed. How not to handle such a big game with so many players/customers. It is so constant to see complains from all sources about being ignored by the support team. These forums. Reddit. Steam forums. People requesting help and support but getting no answer or help for weeks. I have worked for a very well known videogame company as support. A ticket left unattended for more than 3 days meant big trouble. Not only does this incompetence harms good players, but also stains them globally with a red mark on their Steam account for no reason, and left with a feeling of impotence and deception.

Botters and cheaters everywhere:

I won’t even go there. We all know.

These sort of circumstances makes it hard to keep hope on this game. I love the game. I play everyday and enjoy it a lot. But i see so many wrongs in it. Cannot play with my friend anymore because he got banned for NOTHING. And noone is responding. He didn’t even got an email when he got banned. No support is looking at his case. Same for tons of other people.

So i ask: are you guys working to fix these and how? Is there any hope for reliability for us players? I feel in the dark here. And many others too while others are suffering the consequences.

We really want to have the issues solved. The bots. The cheaters. The internal system. The support. I know that IF these are truly being addressed, it could take some time, but in the meantime, we also need some light that give us hope.

While I understand that people get frustrated sometimes, you need to realize that AGS and Smilegate needs time.

The most important thing is, that they listen to our feedback. They take adjustments and try their best to please us.

And I think they doing good. Stop with this perma bashing and hate against AGS and Smilegate. Just leave constructive feedback and wait.

If your friend got banned, then it got a reason for it. Maybe he RMTed and is to embarrassed to tell you?

He has no reason. Like me, he’s not a hasty kid trying to be the best faster by illegal means. He’s a doctor who comes from his practice and grabs a couple hours to have fun with his favorite hobby (gaming) and enjoys the ride. He only played with me since i’ve been teaching him all the mechanics of the game. What you just said is part of the consequences. Tons of cheaters. Anyone got wrongfully banned? Must be a cheater too. SG system is perfect according to you.

Everyone lies until you’re the one with planted drugs by a cop, then you believe.

Would you assume that anyone got banned by the system is wrongfully banned?

If some random in the internet told you, his friend got banned for nothing, would you believe it? Probably not. You are currently biased. You can try to talk with the live support about this, and then they may be helping you. It needs some attempts sometimes, but its worth the try.

I went and read my original post just to confirm if i missed it, but i didn’t. I mentioned that i have actually worked for a videogame company and handled both customer support system and in-game admin. I do know how it is, from inside. I’ve seen everything, even things that you have no idea about. Tons of bullshitters cheaters trying to get away with it. Tons of legit customers wronged in many ways. Predators hunting for kids. Working together with local authorities. FBI. Sons stealing parent’s credit cards to buy currency > bank fraud claim > acct banned. Suicide threats. Real Life-threat from player to player. Internal company hacked. Employees account briefly stolen Everything, you name it.

So yes. I do know. And i know even more, i’ve been a gamer since 1985.

The point is, it is true. It happens. Everywhere. The difference is the company behind the game and how they manage these never ending issues.
