i keep crashing during a loading screen. whether its from changing characters, triporting or entering a raid. it happened all day yesterday (not every single time i load into something) and now the first time i log into my character and leave my stronghold it crashes. Files are verified multiple times.

its not that. it happens in all sorts of locations and characters. i can log back in usually but then i will try and do a guardian raid and may or may not have the game crash. then i have to log back in hoping i wasnt kicked. then sometimes i will just change characters and it will crash. then i log back in and its fine. its not like a character cant get accessed because its bugged. something to do with the loading screens.
also i am currently reinstalling the game as this happened around 10 or so times yesterday and happened again during my first time leaving a zone today. and verification hasnt seemed to help.

I am listing down the steps that can be performed for crashes-
- Verify and repair game files
- Close unnecessary background programs
- Update your graphics driver
- Make sure your system is up-to-date
- Check your antivirus software
- Turn off overlays/ steam overlay.
- Perform a clean boot
- Change it to fullscreen in the launch options.
- Scan and repair Windows.

full reinstall was seeming to work but then i entered a cube and it crashed just now. i just checked all of those things yesterday except the full screen option. i will see if that helps.
So far with full screen i haven’t crashed yet. But what does that mean then and why is it crashing in fullscreen borderless?

I would like just to add some information to the post of my peer. A potential quick fix is when the player try switching from windowed or borderless windowed to full screen, or vice versa. In some cases, doing so may increase your FPS (frames per second) while playing.

so i had played fine being in fullscreen. lastnight in game i changed it back to borderless, no crashes. today i launched the game loaded into my server, picked my character and bam crashed loading into my character. my specs shouldnt be an issue for the game so i cant think of it being my system. im going to try swapping to fullscreen then back to borderless and see what happens.
Here are my specs if it helps at all. everything is up to date.

is it possible that is related to DX11? i will also say im not super tech savvy with computers but i know my system plays this game with 0 issues and my system doesnt get hot or even go over 30% usage on anything.
Try changing to Dx9 and fullscreen, that solved it for me
fullscreen seems to work but i shouldnt “have to” be in fullscreen. thats what im trying to figure out.i have been playing since launch with 0 issues.
Here what is happened in my case. On Youtube, guys that give suggestions about optimization said if you running on old graphic card you should go on directX 9. But I switched to 11 and have not a single crush already 2 days.
