Other side of the coin: “The price of less than stellar but still usable accessories will go up, meaning more profit for the seller. Also, there’d be less literal crap on the market.”
Yay?
// Honestly, who even buys subpar accessories knowing that 15 (legend) or 25 (relic) of their Pheons are gone per purchase?
You people are so incredibly thick. First, you don’t read (I never said I sold 10g items but I know some do), second you can’t do basic math, third you have zero long term vision. Selling 10 accessories per day at 300g is 3k gold per day which is 21k per week, I know so hard to do the math. If you dismantle everything you are leaving tons of gold on the table. Not my fault you aren’t smart and I was making over 20k gold per gold passively. Every day I sell 10 accessories for 300g (or more in most cases) that’s equivalent to 1 3k gold drop which is pretty rare these days. I take the guaranteed money and it adds up really really fast.
It’ll limit all of them (us too) from doing more than 20 listings a day. That’s 20 pieces of Lv1 Gems and they’re done. That’s a ton of bandwidth (not sure if this term is correct here) saved on their request(s), even if there’s a lot of them.
Think about it, a botter’s roster is stopped from listing anything on the market after just 200s (cooldown included) instead of them literally using the market the entire time they’re online. That’s actually quite amazing.
In any case, only insane people will argue that “I can buy Lv1 gems all day to make my Lv10 gem but cheaper”. I’m not saying you did, I’m saying some people will argue for that.
it will help cus it will reduce the total amount of listing all the bots can do so lets say theres 200k bots and they all list 100 items every day. thats a total of 20mil listing now if its reduced to 20 listings per day its only 4mil. They are probably listing more than 100 items per day since they are responsible for 99.99% of all the trash items on both market and AH
It should theoretically heavily effect the bots cus they wont be able to just mass list massive amount of items before being banned. But they will still be there listing stuff sure.
With even 6 characters doing guardians, raids and chaos dungeons daily you easily end up with 10 accessories you can sell for a few hundred gold. Even if each one is 300g that’s 3k gold a day which quickly adds up. Dismantling everything but BiS is dumb. I dismantle the clearly junk ones but I do a quick AH search for the rest and if they are around 300g or more I sell. It’s good gold daily. Not doing that means you are leavings tens of thousands of gold per week on the table
Even in your repeated “average daily scenario” example, you’re still only doing a ball park of ten (10) list-worth items a day. That’s still 1/2 of the daily cap, I don’t think this will affect you at all to be honest.
Even if it did, in all of his examples, he’s only used 10 listings a day. Ten, out of the new maximum of twenty.
So yeah, complete non-issue (for him and a lot of people) but somehow he’s malding still.
Also, listed =/= sold. As I said prior, there’s very few incentives for someone to buy giga-trash cheapo Legends/Relics simply because of the Pheon cost.
