I mean, there are a lot of way more revealing things in this game, it seems silly that the changes to the demon form would be censorship. When I transform into a demon the last thing I do is slow down to zoom in on my character, I’m trying to pump out as much DPS as possible. It looks like textures aren’t loading properly or something. It could also have been changed to an all black demon with red eyes as a way to appeal to the western audience. Maybe they thought the anime demon with white hair thing would be less appealing. Still would like an answer, but more importantly would rather be able to customize my demon form.

How hard could it be for the development team to code the game to imitate the original characters skin tone and hair color upon transformation? If they’re trying to protect diversity or some bs. Otherwise, wtf? Just change it to the original and remove this dark blob nonsense if nothing else. At least that would be lore friendly.
Have you seen other changes they’ve done, especially in the translation ? Anti-lore-friendly is probably a giant panel above their cubicles.
I would also like to point out that SG is also not innocent here, as they handle this kind of stuff…but it’s hard to say how much AGS is “whispering” in their ear about what to change/do to “appeal” to us “oh so easily-scared and offended” westerners.
Honestly the publisher can have a LOT of creative control depending on the contract. Not that any of us will ever be privy to that.

However, they are adding demon form skins at some point, so maybe we’ll get the OG look then.
This need to be really changed, u cant even see her face because of that blur, there was like 3 posts already about this and yet its like they dont care or i dont know …

As someone playing 5 Shadowhunters… please fix this already.
Character identity is a big part of MMOS. It’s already bad enough that you can’t customize the demonic form (rumors say they are working on it tho) but having your character turn dark for no reason, even contradicting the story, is so sad.
They gotta do the blackface

I really wish there was more transparency on that. Who has what power in this deal? (And how often are there ‘I am changing the deal.’ pressures coming up?)
This is either a bug or a change, and knowing which will give us the knowledge to react to it properly. I’d love to know why it was done, but I wouldn’t expect to get that answer… assuming it isn’t a ‘bug’.

It is planned since people are unhappy that they spend a lot of time transformed and you don’t see your normal skin in that state.
That doesn’t help with the issue at hand though if you ask me.

ofc it doesn’t help but i meant if they fix this “bug” and add more skins to it would be great. cause it would be ridiculous to ask people to pay for skins to avoid seeing this abomination. “no offense” given that it’s not how that was supposed to be looking like in the first place.

It probably would… it’s a very easy situation to claim something like
“Amazon demonizes dark skinned people”
Of course bringing race or racism into this isn’t really the right way to go.
I also think it’s a weird and bad way to censor the cleavage of the Transformation.
On the other hand it feels like Gunslinger’s Omen skin has just as much cleavage…
the game is rated M but they censor welcome to the West -_-
