Crash on intro screen every time

Read the whole post before suggesting “a fix” please.

After the last patch, the game instantly closes after the intro screen appears before server select every time I try to launch it. (sometimes faster)
This seems very similar to the issue that GFN users have, but I’m having the problem while playing locally. I’ve seen a trend of some users mentioning the same issue, but I haven’t seen anyone make a dedicated thread (might have missed).

I’ve tried almost everything I could find on forums

1. verifying game files (multiple times)
2. rebooting my pc (multiple times)
3. repairing EAC, reinstalling EAC, various other EAC site fixes (multiple times)
4. reinstalling the game, and also clearing all cache files I could find (3 times)
5. using a different disk
6. Changing various options in UserOption.xml (fullscreen, borderless, regionid)
7. making sure my windows is up-to-date and also downloading additional updates
8. updating my GPU drivers (Nvidia)

The game has given me an error 105 corrupted twice after reinstalling. Other times (usually after verifying files) the game just closes without any error message.

I’m on Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC Build 19044.2311
Not using Korean VA DLC

The only thing I have not tried is reinstalling windows but I won’t be doing that.

Im having the same problem and i also dont use GFN or Windows 7. I’ve tried almost everything you listed in your post but nothing worked.

I have the same issue and it doesn’t look like Amazon is going to help so I started my own investigation into this to try to figure out what is causing it.

Can you check your steam logs and see what they say? Go into your Steam drive and into the logs folder

D:\Steam\logs

Then in file content_log.txt

scroll to the timestamp when you opened the game, what does it say?

Here is mine:

I couldn’t find a Lost Ark log file but the steam one is reporting the exit code
exit code -1073741819

And that exit code is an access violation error.

Do you use Windows 10?

I will look further into the access violation error but I wonder if you guys got the same error in your steam logs? Can you check please.

I got the update, sadly still doing the same thing for me

Its getting really annoying to miss the rewards/loot on every raid when game feezes right when boss dies

Same, the issue has been fixed.

I spend like 3 hours trying to fix it yesterday but I didn’t find what was wrong tho I suspect it had something to do with a Nvidia graphics card.
