Cross Server Question

So with all the BS about locked servers, looking into some cross server stuff as a temporary measure until hopefully they unlock things.

So how does one queue up with a friend on another server doe a dungeon or raid if friends lists are realm only?

Do I need to go make a starting character on their server, add them to friends list, the add them to roster friends list and then go back to my locked server that they don’t have access to and the I can invite them?

You would have to use the group finder to group with friends that are on other servers. This is only mostly for endgame content though.

Wait so we have to both queue at the same time and hope we get put in the same group?

No. There is a dedicated group finder where you can create groups to do specific activities.
