Yeah, maybe I’m sniffing powder that I don’t even know but from what I’m seeing assuming I’m not high, those are 38800 sun coins that I got from the vendor which equate to 776000 pirate coins, not including the pirate coins from the vendor shop which adds up to about 40k so yea that’s about 816000 pirate coins that they have handed out.
Edit: ok well there’s an excess 1x 500 coin box and 3x 100 coin box that I didn’t get from the vendor but it doesn’t matter

You’ll need a lot of those coins though for things other than pirate coins.
I have already got what I need, giant hearts, omnium stars, island souls etcs. they will hand out even more in future so i wouldn’t worry it.

Had a revelation a few days ago, the 7 card packs per week on Peyto and Fermata are per-character.
That’s another 28k pirate coins per week per character.
That’s the last thing I want to spend my pirate coins on xD. There’s a streamer named Zeals who played on the KR version for 9 months and he has already completed the Lostwind cliff set and is a few awakening away from 30-set light of salvation. Assuming we get fed the same amount of card packs as KR in the future, we’ll easily complete the bis sets in no time.
I don’t think OP is doing it for coins. I think he’s referring to the coin cost of freeing the slaves and wants 300k coins so he doesn’t feel bad about leaving the expensive slaves.
Isn’t he also a whale in KR that’s spent $30k+? I’ve seen the clips of his duplicates in the bank, 9 months seems too short to get that many duplicates through in-game means without hitting Mari’s shop.
I think I’ve gotten pretty lucky, several LWC and LoS legendary cards in Legendary packs but 30 piece still looks at least a year away.

Not sure if he whaled card packs but may i ask how many legendary packs have you gotten from weekly peyto/fermata? if the rate is as low as a regular card pack then i don’t think i will exchange for those until i have nothing left to buy.
None, I’ve only bought maybe 50 total since learning it’s not a roster limit. But I’m not really expecting legendary packs from it, I’ve been looking for Romantacist cards because I think LWC and LoS are a long ways away.
I think I’ve gotten more LWC and LoS cards from Abyss Dungeons than I have from legendary packs.

And how do you think they do that? The guys with the complete card sets have them from spending pirate coins each week at Peyto and Cradle of Sea Fermata for packs on multiple characters
@showman I wouldn’t be surprised if they are spending their pirate coins on card packs since they prolly bought out everything
If you read card guides on maxroll and other sites, they suggest spending pirate coins on the packs at Peyto and Cradle of Sea Fermata. It’s one of the primary ways of farming cards. I don’t think this is something only for $30k players when maxroll is recommending it.
Edit: here’s what Maxroll says: “ These contain merchants that sell 7 Peyto and Fermata Card Packs for 2,000 Pirate Coins weekly. Card packs sold here are per character. Pursuing Cooperative Sea Missions daily nets you enough Pirate Coins to purchase these on multiple characters and accrue a healthy Card Collection over someone who does not.”
I do agree that I would prioritize levelling a ship before I started sinking all my coins into cards though, since a good ship is how you get pirate coins/sailing coins. I do see some streamers buying out the card packs already tho.
Also always take sun coins from your sailing chests if you can hold off and try to get the other coins elsewhere its strictly better to get sun coins since they are awarded from harder sailing missions and will exchange for more pirate coins than the other sailing coins

The 600 coin females and 900 coin males will award pirate coins for freeing them (or the reward chest, which can contain the island soul, sailors, or 90 percent of the time (estimate), hp potions (bound i think) and very small amount of silver. Most of the time, freeing the slaves is profitable and will net you more pirate coins than you spend. The other prisoners cannot give you pirate coins, they only reward like 3k-10k silver, althoug you can get the island soul and complete unas tasks from them. If you just want to complete the task quickly/get the soul you can free any of the slaves since sometimes youll need to check back several times before you find 5 slaves of the type that awards pirate coins…I have seen maxroll guide claim that 2 of the slave types give providence stones, but as far as I have seen this is not correct in our version of the game, and the slaves give either silver or pirate coins. Someone can correct me if they have seen some slave types give p stones in western version. Note you can save the release certificates to hand in for unas tasks on the island for leapstones later.
