why do you want to SIT on 1580 when we dont even have brel hard like whats the point ??? at least try the content when you are close to the item lvl so that you get enjoyement unless you just like to go through everything super easy !

The prob with your statement is that you are comparing early on legion raid when people were not as good at the game vs current situation of the game.
And your valtan exemple specialy doenst make sense. “Cheese” was only cause people are afraid of failing but IF YOU CAN DO IT ONCE you can doit TWICE … like whats the point of thinking that people fail all the time. think more positive !
Yeah, Akkan is the same thing as Vykas and Valtan.
Same materials, same armor rarity, slightly more gold and mats on hard.
Akkan is also eassier than Brel to figure out, i learned a lot of it from simply watching streamers, specially g2 and g3[g1 still confuses me a bit xDD]
Either way, we did Normal Brel g5 g6 on ilvl and we were fine, Akkan will be no different, and by the time we get Akkan it will probably be nerfed too.
People seems to forget that at the moment you only need +17 to be ready for all contents (that will come up in 2 weeks), and for the following 6-8 months after Brel hard you’ll only need to reach +19 (unless you want to go for Akkan Hard week 1)…
Of course it’s expensive to get beyond +20, it’s like how it was really expensive to go for Brelshaza Normal G5-6 before crafting Brelshaza gear.
For the most part after the growing pains of it being the first legion raid and players afraid to screw up a mechanic, the usual method of orbs into wei was fine since it really changed nothing in terms of how fast the clear becomes (since wolf will sit at 0 hp and go through his routine at the end anyway)
There isn’t really other mechanics after this very first introduction to legion raids where players has this stigma that if you won’t do the mechanic the “intended” way you are just bad
It’s expensive to go to +19. The cost of honing from 16-19 per character is probably more than the cost to go from 1302 to 1550 lol.
Yes, we’ll have months to grind our dailies and run Brel HM on reset to stockpile the resources to finish the push, but it’s no small amount of either daily grinding or swiping to accomplish that.
Also this is exactly why the idea of “catching up” to KR is unreasonable, since every release requires us to stop, progress the actual raid, then grind it for 6 months while we get the materials to push on lol

There is room to catch up a little bit but realistically we are hardlocked a bit by reasonable honing expectations.
The main point for us to catchup would be the timing on elgacia and Akkan. Every region has gotten Elgacia sooner than the last so there is a chance we get Elgacia as soon as 4 months after Brel Hard. The question is if this effects Akkan timing as Russia got akkan in the same time gap as Korea even when they got Elgacia sooner.
Theoretically they can set an expectation of people to hit 1580 a little faster for us to get Akkan normal which would let us “save” that time that Korea was stuck with just honing to 1615 as a goal for a solid 7 months and alot of people ended up “wasting” materials honing past 1580.
There are spots where we can save a few months of time but realistically we are almost always going to be at least half a year behind korea.
Why do you need akkan hard anyways? Theres not gonna be Esther AND we get that in separated date from normal you you might be full akkan ancient by hard release… Other than bit more gold why would you do hm?.. In fact by that time id be doing akkan normal/ brel hard 1-4 / clown (skipping all in all gates) for gold earns
If you want to play tankier classes like Gunlancers, Bonks, Scrapper or Wardancer thats fine. For everyone else…just deal with it. Reason being is If you would lower the damage it prolongs the fight. Making it more likely to die eventually or facing mechs more often. G6 hard is a perfect example. Dealing with meteor placement over an expanded period of time is more troublesome than dodging stuff.
What it honestly and truely comes down to is will people continue to care enough to keep this grind up in 4-6 months from now.
Can it be done? Of course it can. Is it an overly enjoyable and fun experience to do? Not really, well at least not for most.
Will players stay motivated to push through 4 months of “More Brel” where there isn’t any other new content and Brel HM isn’t a huge motivator (since it’s just more brel).
That’s really the killer question for me. It’s not can I do it, it’s do I have the motivation to keep doing it at this point

But to be honest. Every Game is the same. The momment u start play End Game and you are on Farm. There is no much to do and just repeat week after week.
The only thing what LA have not like other MMOs is that LA is not to old. So there is not alot of Horizontal content.
In WoW for exampel if u realy are bored u could just farm mounts for years without bothering any other things.
I wish we could get Elgacia with HM Brell or 1 Month later just only the Content. For like 1 month. And then 1 Month Later Kayngel maybe. This would be fine. And 2-3 Months Later Akkan NM/HM since we know what the GS requirements are. People dont FOMO to hard like in KR. And after Akkan 1 Month later Pretzel. Cuz this content and we stil are in 2023 so next would be the new Raid (idk the name). And copium that its only Thearmine what KR get this year. So we are only 1 Raid Behind 2-4 Months behind.
But since SG wants to milk the Regions i doubt this “catch up” ever happens. And i dont mind for me West Version feels like Classic in WoW. So KR LA is like Retail.

There are huge differences between most MMOs and Lost Ark.
Each character you create in another MMO has it’s own story, it’s own experiences, the path to the end game, which likely will be hundreds if not thousands of hours of play time is unique for each alt you make. The professions they choose to pick, how they spend each day is different.
In LA, every alt you make is a carbon copy experience. You do (or skip) an identical story, you run 4 identical dungeons to farm identical set materials while running identical dailies.
Yes, every MMO eventually ends in a content drought and game play loop. Lost Arks started at 2 days after launch, where finished North Vern story and started the repeated chaos/guardian/una/procyon loop we continue to repeat to this day. But at least they developed a world around it for back then. You had T1/2 islands and lots of reason to explore the world in the early days.
Outside of your daily loop in other games you have thousands of hours of side content, leveling professions, grinding rep, farming rare drops/mounts/pets/etc. Lost Ark was building around something like this, but they dropped it at T3 and went all in on Raid Simulator.
So yes, you are right. End Game is the same across all MMOs eventually, the difference is LA starts at end game and just walks in a circle, where a traditional MMO takes the player on a journey to get there.
maybe future content helps with this, but until future content is available on NA/EU to play, it might as well not exist.
