Dear Amazon, about the VPN change

This is not a rebuke of the VPN solution you guys have come up with it. While I’m not a fan of it myself, others have said their piece. I’m going to be harshly critical here, and will try to be respectful at the same time:

Please, do not release major player-affecting changes on a Friday. I won’t pretend to know what kind of Live Ops you have running the show and monitoring the situation, but your community interaction goes pretty dark on the weekend. I understand that you have lives and that VPNs are against the TOS, but releasing this kind of thing before clocking out for the week is terrible both for optics and for player experience.

It’s so obvious that their plan was to drop a stink bomb and close the door on us. Then watch us from behind the monitor to see how we react.

AGS management probably: “Don’t worry guys, just do it. We got the ToS to cover our asses and our white knights in shining armor will surely preach the ToS like some gospel.”
