We are about to hit 28th of September and we are eager to wait for the update schedule notes.
Small note, some servers will be merged. This can cause issues, are we well prepared? Are we going to have a longer down time then usual?
Is Kakul going to be released or extent by one week?
A Server merge may cause a one day loss. (which happened 2 weeks ago as well) This will make progress groups have less time to kill it or progress on it.
Think about how nice it could be if you can update everyone as soon as possible with this kind of info. This is for the community to know the status at any time.
What would be nice for any future update that have a huge impact on raids or any other updates. Please write down a week or atleast before the weekend if it is planned for the upcoming week.
People need to mental prepare for this and we are all not waiting for last minute notes.
From my experience, the patch notes drop on Tuesday morning, that would be 28 hours from now.
Prepared, don’t think so, given their history. Extended time? Yes, Roxx mentioned we will have an extended maintenance cause of server merges.
Kakul is set for September release, along with Scouter on Sep 28th (date confirmed in a tweet on LA official twitter channel) as stated in the roadmap. No announcements of any change to that regard, so no reason to think so.
Also, Roxx is not replying to threads because she is off on holiday, You can click her name here in the forums and it will show that.
So patch notes will be tomorrow as per usual. As far as extended downtime, be prepared to not play the game Wednesday. There is a lot that can go wrong with server merges. Just be prepared not to play, might even be a couple days if something goes seriously wrong. Kakul is absolutely coming this week, if it doesn’t there is going to be a riot on forums. It shouldn’t get delayed again because the reason for the delay the first time doesn’t exist this time. Everyone at 1475 should be 5x3 optimal stats, BIS with LWC or LoS 12. If they aren’t they haven’t made good decisions since Vykas Release.
The only note is people who are getting merged may or may not own GvG islands anymore depending on who they get paired with for the merge. This is literally the only thing in the entire release this week that could be argued that preparation would be nice for. Aside from that you do what you do every update, read the notes tomorrow and be ready to go on the weekend.
