On one hand I love to hit big numbers and deathblow build surely gives you that, on the other hand, cooldowns are high and I hate having to auto attack in this game. Shorter cds and more spamming is the biggest pro I find with esoteric.
I can’t decide tbh. Right now I’m playing deathblow and its fun but I admit that having to wait for my abilities cooldowns annoys me sometimes.
Any of you guys wanna throw my way some input?
Hi Dr Nikki, im currently at 1340 item level in tier 3 bracket, i have tried deathblow at level 3, but it feels like you would need multiple level 5-6 + gem runes to lower cooldowns, and also multple wealth runes epic + for this build to run smoother.
The current stats we get around this item level your crit rate or spec will be quite low for it to be worth it, i have spoken to higher item level deathblow users from the korean version, and they have said they would go with deathblow around 1400 plus minimum also, because of the skill points needed and gems,etc.
What i have done on my Esoteric flurry build as im also like you and prefer the bigger numbers, is to go higher crit with swiftness and keenblunt engraving/ master of ambush/ both level 3,so my crit rate is sitting around 30% and my swiftness is around 7 % and spec is around 12% and it feels fairly good to be honest, dont forget we naturally get 10% crit rate from back attacks + our lightning whisper gives us an extra 18% crit rate when used on the monster, so im like sitting around 60% when hitting a boss monster, which feels good.
But at the end of the day its up to you, but late game where boss windows will be shorter so deathblow would be better suited for that as the boss will move alot more often. What you can do is just save deathblow accessories and just keep them and switch over when you want to use them.
