I was honing my sorceress gear from 1310 to 1340, i then did the 1340 chaos dungeon, got all the epic gear pieces and equipped them, at that point i forgot i had to transfer my old rare quality +9 gear into that new epic gear, i bought some new accessories, changed my build, messed around in the training room and some time had passed, i then randomly cleared out my bags, was even wondering why i couldnt dismantle these blue gearpieces, so i deleted them. Shortly after when i tried to enter the 1340 abyss dungeon i realized that i must have destroyed my 1340 gear, i then made a ticket, asking if there was any way to sort this out, i understand that apparently there is no way that destroyed gear can be restored by either me or AGS, so i asked if there was another way that wouldnt result in me having to grind all those wasted ressources that i had just spent again. A support-agent told me in the chat that there was a way to make my gear instantly go to +9 again if i would hone it again, but that he couldnt do that for me, because i had already made a ticket aswell, so i would have to wait for that ticket to be answered, in the meantime the chat was closed, and the answer to my ticket was not the same as the one from the chat-agent. Now im very confused and don’t know how to proceed… All this made me really sad about the wasted ressources.
I really hope that there is some way this can be resolved…

From what I know it seem that the first agent wasn’t very truthful. Currently to my knowledge it is impossible for live support agents to restore any deleted/dismantled items as they don’t have tools to do that (will hopefully in the future). Sorry that this happened to you, not that this will help with this problem 
Yeah, that’s what I heard multiple times by now, but even if the deleted items can’t directly be restored, shouldn’t there be some other way to sort this out? The chat-agent didn’t say he could restore the items, but suggested a way to make my gear upgrades go to +9 with a single hone, haven’t heard such a thing since then though 
It’s first time I heard about that option tbh and I have been watching support sections for couple of weeks now. I would not have my hopes up and would just take it as a set back and continue on. Game is worth it once new content hits imo so don’t loose your hope ^^
Yeee in general it’s all good, it’s my 3rd t3 character that had to take a hit here and my main is at 1405, I’m really enjoying all sides of the game. Just feels weird to me that there doesn’t seem to be any way to help me here, pretty much every other MMO type game I’ve played had some way to recover lost items, or atleast compensate for them. I know it’s my own fault for not thinking about what I was doing.
Game tried its best to help you by not letting you dismantle the gears. xD
But jokes aside, hopefully this less costly mistakes made you more careful and avoid similar mistakes on your main and in the future.
Yea i know, and its probably not gonna happen ever again, i just got totally sidetracked by reworking my build after i had hit 1340, so much that when i was wondering why i couldnt dismantle the blue gear i figured that the first gear you get from a new tiers chaos dungeons just couldnt be dismantled, i have no idea how i came to such a conclusion XD
Oh yea! Settings → Gameplay → Controls and Displays → Item Settings → Enable Locked Enhancements
I have not tested it, but I think this option allows you to lock your items and still hone/transfer it. It may be an extra layer of protection.
Bump for visibility. That’s a lot of mats wasted and this issue should receive some attention!
