Denying people powerpass on alts/main they've been waiting for is so backwards

So in the beginning people were fine with there not being power passes due to original class release schedule being ~1 class a month.

It was changed to 1 class every 2 months a while back, which people also seemed somewhat okay with, however alot of players felt it was incredibly slow pacing, especially if it’s a class they plan on having as a main or alt. This quite literally removes any reason of pushing out new classes every 2 months.

And now we’re not even gonna get a powerpass with Scouter/machinist release? Just what is going on when they try to discuss this? With some classes they release both an express event and a powerpass, and then some classes get nothing? Why not atleast split them up?

People are essentially being forced to make alts they don’t necessarily want to play simply because the event express and powerpass expire before the launch of a new class.

Hello? SG? AGS? I get that the thought is to maximize profit with popular class releases, but holy.
Anyone who’s played this game for a longer period of time (since release) or is already at end game with several characters don’t want to play through t1-t2 again, even with the honing buffs. It’s obnoxious and extremely tedious.

I understand the paid powerpass is an option, but not everyone has the money or want to drop money on that when there’s other things such as skins that can be purchased.
My personal issue is the fact that we get nothing with some of the new classes, while some get both powerpass and express event.

Original schedule was 2~3 months, then decided on every 2 months with the Destroyer being an exception

I’m not trying to defend what they are doing and of course it would be great to have some kind of event - Powerpass, Express Event, Ark Pass, normal Event, anything to help boost the new character.

But nowhere have I read that the original schedule was 1 month, and then changed to 2 months because they are preparing powerpasses with each release or something like that.

Original schedule was 2~3 months, then decided on every 2 months with the Destroyer being an exception

Correct. That’s me misremembering, it’s more what people were predicting due to the release of Glaivier/Destroyer being back to back in April/May.

Their decision was not changed due to powerpasses not being ready, however they wanted to sync it up with content releases. Tho I don’t think gatekeeping classes behind content is a reliable way of doing so when people are still waiting for their mains to release.

However, the rest of the post still stands accurate to what’s being done. Releasing classes without any sort of fast forward progression this late in the game is absolutely backwards thinking and I’m curious as to what the reason is for that. But we most likely will never get the answer.

Everyone wants to play the class so badly they should be looking forward to re-running the story, grinding up to T3 and playing catch up.

That’s the content of a class release is it not
