Right, but the weird thing with Destroyer (and Glaivier) is that they already have Omen weapon skins in the other regions. So there’s no reason we shouldn’t be able to select those with the chests we have…
Wonder if the players hyped for Destroyer still want to play it if they have to start from 0
This is why you hold on to your powerpass just in case. They could release it with a Punika powerpass (ideal with Valtan) but we are in the grey area of what will happen with the release.
You gonna take the bet or not? Just gonna keep dodging and playing up the psychotic route?
Just saying, nothing about the Super Bonus Chest make you think it wasn’t put out specifically for the Glavier, considering all the advertisement had the Glavier plastered all over it. On top of that with some of the recent communication issues, many of us assumed it could very well expire or be unusable for Destroyer. At best, this would be a guessing game with AGS and the spotty communication and last minute changes we’ve become accustomed to.
I can see how lots of people would have gotten the wrong idea with this and will be pretty disappointed to find out they need to slow grind the Destroyer which releases (hopefully) alongside Valtan.
People who planned on saving mats for Destroyer would want another character in T3 to farm more gold and mats.
Destroyer mains are gigachads, they don’t mind. They were going to play Destroyer pre-patch and now that it’s post patch confirmed we don’t give a flying fuck
The login screen showed the 28/4 expiration date for the power pass … if anything, AGS is to blame that many of us used it on random characters not to let power pass expire.
I won’t be leveling another character from scratch without a powerpass or express mission because I used 9/9 knowledge transfers to Vern and the 1-50 leveling process is atrocious.
It’s sad because I was really looking forward to Destroyer.
Then you can just actually work for it? I have 4 alts in t3.
While i can see how giving out so many powerpasses in such a short timeframe has it’s downsides, out of the top of my head for example giving everyone lots of tier 3 alts with little to no effort, there is also the benefit of us catching up to the other versions of the game. they had years to build up their roster, we did not. And after all, the gain you get after your 6th char are not that big anymore, at least not without a serious time investment.
So for us to reach parity in time giving us the same amount of powerpasses other regions had IMO makes sense. after all, we were meant to get an accelerated progression until we are up to the other versions, no?
Ofc I also understand the ppl that got the impression we will get a powerpass with each char since this was the case in every other version of the game. Sure, no promises were made but I cant put blame on anyone using their express event/power pass on glaivier expecting they would get another one with hammerier.
Edit: I remember several people asking on my server at glaivier release what ppl think, would it make sense to save up the powerpass for hammerier and literally everyone who cared to answer said that it would be very likely we will get another one for each class. again, no promises were made and i dont want to sound like i think you owe us anything, but i think people had a reasonable expectation and that was the rule not the exception.
The miscommunication is on AGS. Their transparency is lackluster and it’s something they need to improve.
I think… at the very least, these complaints in this post will most likely cause them to give us a powerpass with the Destroyer because of lack of communication about powerpasses/events, etc. I think going forward they will very clearly state how many, what kind and what not. I think based off the language being used we won’t be getting them with every class. We probably will get one this time tho…
I hit 1400 4 weeks ago. I have 4 other alts in T3. I have saved all mats and login rewards, and express box (the end one). I have saved all shard bags and not missed a single chaos gate since then.
Release all of the classes in June.
This is the easiest way to avoid all of this.
I’ve seen less of a clown show at a circus JFC.
This game “starts at T3”, “T1/T2 are a tutorial”, and “legion raids is when the game is meant to be played”. It’s a roster-based game meanwhile AGS is still trying to figure out if they should aid players in creating alts and refuses to start new characters at 1302?
Even if you released all the new characters in one go, I would expect a Power Pass for every single one of them regardless. You’ve already kept your player base in T1/T2 long enough considering we were meant to be at Valtan last month, it’s time to let them progress alts in T3 and new players start there.
Unbelievable.
Hi Roxx,
I hope you are well. I suggest a compromise - Destroyers should be granted a power pass but moving forward AGS/SG explicitly states that players should NOT be expecting power passes going into future class releases. This has blindsided a lot of people given how there was absolutely no warning with the Glaiver drop. I think if this was AGS’ original intent it should have been stated way earlier, because players naturally would have been more strategic with their power passes. I think we can all agree that the cadence the game is moving at is quick, so spamming us with power passes is a bad idea overall, but players deserved the chance to be strategic with their resources - unfortunately the way this has been handled means players were never given the opportunity to do so. Please take this feedback to the AGS team
(also if you’re reading this post, please like the post for visibility reasons so we make sure AGS gets this constructive feedback)
edits: grammar, wording
Then not sure what the issue is exactly… people just clicking an item and not thinking of potential consequences is kind of on them. We are handed 3 different things to boost up characters (ARK pass, Feition pass and express event), and amongst those, one of them will help push a destroyer as long as you don’t use it all at once.
Could AGS do a better job at getting the communication out there earlier? Yes they absolutely should. But if that communication isn’t there then you should just assume some bs with the next class release until we get the concrete details and information (which AGS leaves out for some reason)
Slap them bad boys on the shop and take meh money!
But seriously, it does seem like there are too many unknown paths forward between you guys and Smilegate. Which in turn looks like poor communication on your part (being the publisher). Of course we’re all on the outside making assumptions on the behind the scenes stuff we don’t see. But that’s all we can go off of at the end of the day…
Can’t wait for my HAMMER! fast passed of course ![]()
