If I were you guys, I’d give a powerpass for destroyer while explicitly stating that it won’t be the norm going forward because KR has 2-3 classes per year whereas NA gets 1 class a month. You guys never promised powerpass per class, but people will still be unhappy if they found out there’s no powerpass and compare it to KR despite the differences.
On the other hand, this will get positive PR/fans happy. The downside is almost nothing. 960 or 1100 powerpass will not powercreep or make things too easy. It really won’t change anything in the grand scheme of things because 960/1100 is still a long way away from 1370/1415. Remember, we won’t have express event OR ark pass (assuming current players that already used it) so the progression will be substantially slower than it was for Glaivier.
For future classes, I would definitely include powerpass plans in the roadmap. If you guys have a June/July roadmap and there’s 2 classes, I would explicitly state that everyone will receive 1 powerpass during this time so choose carefully who you want to powerpass.
If people really need closure at this moment on a power pass, assume there won’t be one, and plan accordingly. Pleasant surprise if you do get one.
The express event was very clearly not meant exclusively for whoever you used your Feiton power pass with only, as it offers bonuses starting at T1. I don’t know why everybody has to use everything they get right away. Do you all open all your battle items chests too, before you actually need them? Yeah, the communication could have been better, but everyone here obviously knows where the forums are and how to use them, so should have had the information about what it was. The only people with any excuse are those who never look at forums, never look at patch notes, never look at announcements, and don’t even look at the scrolling messages at the bottom of the screen. But anyone who was excited about Destroyer coming had been looking at announcements, so should have known more about the express event and that it wasn’t designed for only glaiviers.
While I understand not wanting to overlap events, I think given our sped-up release schedule (even if valtan got delayed) having an event run for 2 months and essentially saying there won’t be a similar express event during that timeframe is rather odd.
Firstly this express event only helps you get to t3, it doesn’t supply any t3 mats whatsoever (aside from the final reward which IMO is negligible).
Secondly, as you have stated before it is quite certain we will be getting Valtan in May, which I assume (correct me if I’m wrong) will be both NM and HM as crafting the legion set requires 1445 (also the entry lvl for HM) in the first place so there is no point not releasing both. Vykas entry level is 1430 so I would say it’s quite realistic to expect that to be released roughly 1 month after Valtan as the gear jump is significantly lower than Argos>Valtan. This puts it around June? July at the latest which in my personal opinion would already be too long, since for Vykas I do think it may be better to release NM first and HM a month after and the next legion raid a month or 2 after that since the jump to Kakul Saydon (ilvl 1475) is much bigger.
Now the point I’m trying to bring across is that… essentially we would have an express event in place that doesn’t help u reach 1370 let alone 1415, it simply helps u reach t3 (1100) all the way throughout the release of at least 1 and more than likely 2 different legion raids all being ilvl 1415+.
Surely you can understand how that is a little concerning to people who want to be able to hit these ilvls on either their main or a new character such as destroyer at a relatively decent pace with the help of an express event that is actually aimed at gearing you towards more… current content.
Just as an addition, I don’t think having an event run for a longer period of time is a bad thing but I think if that is going to be the case then it should be an event that is more aimed at current content rather than essentially pre-argos as it doesn’t actually help u after u hit t3.
It would have been much better to simply run this event up until the May content patch and then release a similar event that is aimed at helping people reach 1415 for the legion raid that will have just come out along with the May patch. (and for those who are already there, getting an alt up to that point)
If we dont get a pass per character there is zero reason to not just release 2 classes a month.
Personally i was fine with 1 a month under the expectation we’d get a new pass for each class like the other versions did. But if that is not going to be the case then theres no reason remaining to not give us 2 classes a month.
I was thinking exactly the same thing. Everyone knew that destroyer was coming because they announced it at the roadmap. And people also knew that the Feiton Pass and the current event would not run out before destroyer came along…
Anyways, I won’t be surprised if AGS did something extra with the release of the destroyer. But they didnt announce it yet.
I didn’t? I have said this in many comments amongst others and content creators have even touched on this issue. Please do your research before trying to spark some sort of drama out of it
But what they actually saw was that the power pass was bugged and showed and expiration date of 04/28.
This isn’t the case anymore and has been fixed, but with the lack of communication, people could see that the pass wouldn’t include destroyer and used it on another character.
This is a pretty shit take if I’m being honest. We knew when destroyer was coming out when we were given the Feiton power pass and the express event started, so if you didn’t stop and think “what am I going to do with the Destroyer when it comes out if they don’t give us another one?” then that’s on you.
I used my Feiton power pass on my Glaivier because that’s the class I most wanted to play pre-launch, and I saved my express selection in case I decide I want to play Destroyer. Anyone who chose to use BOTH on Glaivier or other alts… made a conscious CHOICE to do so and blaming AGS/Smilegate for your short-sightedness is disingenuous.
This is a serious problem within the gaming community these days, no one wants to take accountability for their own choices and if you’re invested enough to be reading/posting on the forums or a community site like Reddit then you are capable of doing your own research.
Has AGS’ communication been good? No, and I’ve been vocal about it repeatedly. However, they are improving and in this case it’s not on them. Was the initial in game messaging about the express event great? No, but the time period was clear from the start so the thing you’re choosing to complain about was a non-issue.
Recent podcast with some KR streamers saying that the game was not great during the time when they only had Argos as their end game raid. They were recounting just how much the community didn’t like it.
Valtan comes through and marks the beginning of Smilegates success story. They started rolling out all these QoL and updates one after another and people just started pouring in or coming back. Now the game is celebrated over there lol.

Yea this sounds pretty fair re progging t1-t3 for any new class launch actually just wouldn’t feel good overall it’s a game meant for fun not to be a chore
Just, be prepared for a paid pass (the best they can offer to us, same system as KR and RU, as they don’t make money from giving more for “free” with each new class release)
It’s not brutal for players willing to do a little planning. For Destroyer enjoyers, they had plenty of reason not to use Feiton pass and/or express on Glavier or other characters. These 2 events are not Glavier exclusive and neither of them expires before the planned Destroyer release. Most players really only need to save one or the other for Destroyer.
I don’t really mind if they sell pass in the shop, but the fomo players who calls p2w at anything would. Even if they do plan to sell passes, I think it should be something more reasonable in the future though. Maybe when we are punika powerpass qualified and when even free players have several alts. I don’t know about other versions, but I feel that it’s too early.
