Do damaged equipment with tripods remain tradable after the patch?
Can I buy damaged equipment on my main now to use on a future alt?
Yes they do, just like in korea.
Damaged equipment will turn into a new equipment type called amulets with the same equivalent tripods on them.
As long as they have trades left on them you would be able to trade them to an alt but keep in mind that you are going to have to pay the pheon price again to move them over.
I can see the price of +4 engravings going up after the patch as people are more actively going to be using them instead of saving them and retrading them effectively meaning each piece will “fillout” 3 characters. But the pheon price is really heavy for that and you are going still going to have to roll the dice on them after the patch.
they will not turn into anything, they stay the exact same way they are right now

I would think the prices drop hard.
The effective value of each piece is lower, as you can’t do 100% sure transfer, and many players won’t need any of them anymore.
Long term prices might start to increase a bit.

I honestly fully 100% believe that the number of people who did mass transfers are in the minority. The fact that everyone knew to save instead of transfer ment that each item effectively filled out 4 peoples worth of tripods for that particular tripod. Now that the odds are better and each item is worth for that 1 use I really do think that the big tripods that people want to 4 are going to go up very quickly.
I’ll be happy to be wrong tho. Tripods becoming super expensive doesn’t relaly help anyone even if the rates are going up.
