Do NOT remove face options for Artist release

I know AGS will do what they want to do anyway, but I hope that i can reach someone and inspire a change.

For a lot of people, appearance is everything in an MMO. The type of armor, your title, your mount and your preset of your character. How you look and how others thus perceive you is of paramount importance in a game like this.

A lot of people play Lost Ark because of the way the game and the characters look and the options we get to make them appear. In particular, the preset community is very vast and very creative when it comes to making and sharing these, especially the Korean part of this community. A lot of us love these aesthetics and the wonderful presets these people make and would love to implement them into our game as well, were it not for the fact that you guys have decided to outright REMOVE some of the most popular face options in the game. The face options that are most popular in Korea are, for some reason, not there in our version of the game, which makes it IMPOSSIBLE for us to use most of the fantastic presets the Korean community has made.

I have a very simple proposition, that is instead of REPLACING face options, you ADD them instead. I don’t see a single downside in giving us more options instead of taking away our options for replacements most people did not ask for. If anything, if diversity would be the most prominent factor in these decisions, removing most of a certain racial features options and replacing them with another race does not increase diversity, if anything it just stays the same.

There are thousands of Artist presets already made by the Korean/Japanese/Russian community, and it would be a massive shame if we are unable to use these. so I, and many, many others in the community, implore you to ADD, instead of REPLACE.

They probably already did remove some to create new ones that express phenotypes not as commonly associated with White or Asian people.

Ikr, here in the west we don’t care what other opinion one may have. If it looks like a child we’re going to call it a child despite what they think overseas. :man_shrugging:
