Does it keep the 15% buff if you switch to another skill or does it have to be Dexterous Shot only?
Also keep strike in death fire it says 40% crit rate for rapid fire but this is an entirely different skill does it mean you automatically get 40% crit rate for bullet death fire mode if you first use death fire skill?
I could be wrong but from my understanding those crit rates tripod only affect the skill you use, it will not carry onto other skills used afterwards. So lets say you have a fixed 40% crit rate already, that skill itself with the 15%-40% will get added onto your current rate only when the skill is used.

Because Death Fire does NOT have a “rapid fire perk” the only skill that has that is bullet rain
The perks you use will only affect that skills. Rapid fire will only affect how fast that skills is activated/move for that skills only as well as if you decided to swap it to keen strike for crit rate. It will only affect that skill. It doesn’t overlap.
To test it, go to trixon and put on rapid fire/keen strike on and off. You will see the huge difference in speed/crit functionality for that specific skill.
As someone already said it is only for that skill.
Your debuff skill is Spiral tracker. It is skill set you use at beginning of your combo or hard damage like a Focus shot, target down, etc.
Quickstep (Life Absorption Tripod) is your “buff” combo as well soo it is part of your debuff + buff then use your shotgun combo or hard damage like focus, and target down.
This is different if you are swift you can squeeze some hard damage with your shotgun combo.
Not familiar with swift ones nor a gunslinger pro so yeah. I normally cycle quickstep - (Equilibrium or Spiral Tracker Crit Resistance debuff) - shotgun combo, then cycle quickstep - debuff - rifle damage.
yeah but dexterous shot doesn’t have any “Rapid Fire” perk
Only Bullet Rain has it so why would dexterous shot have this ability to increase rapid fire crit chance?
Where does it says on the skill dexterous shot gives an increase of rapid fire crit chance?
its only for that skill, its a tripod you wont use tbh, maybe agile movement and mobility in certain setups
“Rapid fire” in the Death Fire tripod description refers to the part of the skill where you’re rapidly firing pistols, i.e. the entire skill other than the grenades.
