Class books tarted to rise in price after Valtan, for the obvious reason… Valtan acessories are not guaranteed to roll class engravings.
So, no more easy lvl3 class engraving from acessories, and that makes class books more valuable.

It’s still easy with +5 stuff, but then you can’t go 5x3 without spending a lot of money because +5 class and another good engraving is really expensive. It’s not an issue for supports because we don’t need 5x3, but most DPS classes will have to bite the bullet and buy +12 books at one point.
well not that easy, i did a quick search for desperation salvation + all other engravings i wanted and i found almost none, the ones that is being selled is well over 100k+ gold.
Lol, why would someone say that? Its the oposite: If loot table has less class engraving, the value of books INCREASE.
You don’t get salvation+good engraving. You just get salvation+nothing+swiftness. 3 accessories for +15 salvation.
Then you have two 5+3 slots for whatever else you need. Can’t get 5x3, but you don’t need it and unless you’re a gigawhale it’s ridiculously expensive.
So when the price rised from 2400 to 3000+ i asked ingae why it is going up quickly and asked if it would go down, and some people said that is only going up because people want 4x3 for valtan hard and it will go down in price after.
I wasn’t so sure about it so after some time i asked again and people didn’t really answered or sayed that it also would go down, so i believed and waited, waited i then reached almost 5000 gold and i made this post, the few people who commented didn’t say it would still go up and some sayed something that can be understand like it would go down.
If i can’t get salvation + another engraving that i want even if its vital point, so i can’t get 5x3 easy like you said.
If you are a support and buy double good engraving relic gear to get more than 3x3, then you are simply making an exercise in using extra money.
But I can respect trying to optimize as much as possible, as I think support 4x3 is the optimum.
If I was a support I would probably just 3x3 and use my gold elsewhere though(gems,skins, engraving books), unless I get a really good deal. No rush since I would get invited anyway.
But you don’t need 5x3. Especially not if it’s VHP. At least not until Kakul-Saydon that’s a 4man party raid.
it’s actually pretty simple. Ask yourself why you are asking this question. Now… every average bard wants the same.

I have 3x3 from legendary accessories and i have 65k gold at the moment, i’m waiting the neria skins go down around 1500 gold to buy it, but i don’t know if it will reach this price.
I was thinkind in using my gold to buy desperation salvation’s book that it’s the last one that i need, i already have legendary heavy armor, awakening and expert, but it’s too expensive for me to buy it, i thought it would be worth because i have other 2 bards as alts, but i think i will use the gold in decorating the stronghold and stick with 3x3 legendary accessories and maybe upgrade to relic still using 3x3 or maybe go to 4x3 because i want to also have expert in the build.
Obviously it will, they’re rosterwide… once people have them demand will drop. How long that’ll take though…
And class engravings are super rare, so they are giga expensive with a second BiS engraving.
So everybody who wants to get relic pieces has to get the class engravings → prices go up.
Bought my Blessed Auras for ~2k a week ago. Also finished the Expert engraving yesterday. They went up by like 700g a piece within days.
Paid like 18k for my relic pieces to get 3/3/3/3/2.
But of course I also bought class engraving and expert books.
Got a +8/+7 stone with my 2nd try so not being forced to get +5/+3 relic pieces helped a lot.
you play in the EU right? here in NA East even the expert is 4k+ gold
Yes, Expert was ~2k last week but it went up to 2.7-2.9k the last 2-3 days.
Still a huge waste of gold.
Definitely wouldn’t recommend it.
As I said, I got 3332 (blessed-awake-exp) with 18k gold and then you just buy +12 books that aren’t as expensive (armor, vhp, ether, whatever) to get 4x3.
