Ambush 3, there is your problem with that berserker. He should not be running it since it only affects some of his damage skills, not all. KBW is better for a zerker. He probably also got hit more than you and didn’t have max stacks as long as you did.
Possible but still 1540 Glaivier with +17 weapon vs 1580 with +20 weapon.
Last week in Brel NM G4 was the same I got cruel fighter with my Glai (mvp was a Igniter Sorc with 1560) and other 1560+ characters where not in the MVP screen or only with upright.
We all know that Control Glaivier can be good but vs the OP classes and vs higher geared with +20 weapons she should have no chance to make cruel fighter in an 8man raid (6dps man raid)
ye i have these 5 on my control too, and dont happy with performance. truth is i am only 1460, but it seems low dmg in compare with combat readiness or loyal companion

It doesn’t make people toxic. Those people are toxic regardless.
What it does do is make people accountable. Did you buy a bus to your title and don’t know how to dps the boss adequately? Are you 1580 but do 70% less damage than everyone else. If that’s not you then you have nothing to be worried about. This is not about calling people out but spotting the imposter that’s holding your group back.

There is other way to improve your dps - it’s Prokel in Trixion.
I had DPS Pala (1500) with high swiftness and wasn’t easy to be very effective with dmg-uptime. I kept played a lot and my time record is getting better. So I got 2-3 minutes faster, that’s hugh improvement.
The players were baffed, when I was done with Prokel before the last mech outside came.
That’s one of examples. I sent every class to Prokel Training and it helped me a lot to get effective with dmg-uptime and experiment dmg skills/gear bonus/engravings, too.

And back then there were scripts to run on jobs for gear changes for your characters (instead of pressing a macro that had a huge delay), easier way to cast spells and abilities (again instead of a macro with a delay), DPS meter along with a bunch of other QoL things the base game never had (shout outs to Windower, god I feel old)
And you know what the golden rule was?

If SE didn’t know you had it, it never existed and you could continue using it as long as it wasn’t blatant cheating or used for griefing (which could be done as well)
If you used that shit, aight, that’s cool
But don’t talk about it in game and sure as hell don’t talk about it in their official forums that were linked to your account

I agree they are a good tool to use for yourself
However you and I both know 100% the moment they become “legal” they will be used to gatekeep even further, because that’s how this community functions

I would really like a dps metter individually. Apart for the trixion one, cuz that one is not even close to how a boss would do in a real fight. It;s mostly a watered down version.
I dont need to see what dmg another lplayer does in a guardian raid, i need to see my dmg and that MVP screen is a dumb choice.
I’ve had Supports get MVP screen, simply because they had more stagger and counters then everybody else, but dmg wise - not even a lick.

. It’s already been said and done. Rules are rules, you break it you lose it. There aint no options cause if there is, imagine how much the community will try to control AGS.

I mean you can give a lot of argument for DPS meter and I know that if dps meter was a thing, some people would get hard broken illusion about their own DPS relative to other one. But stop with the argument “it helps me improve” that’s bullshit. If you are in a mindset where you want to improve, you don’t need dps for that, and on the other hand if you are too entitled/illusionned about your own performance, having a dps meter will not help you getting better, if anything it will probably make you an even worst player.
Improving is all about mentality, if you are not improving it’s not DPS-meter that will help you with that.
PS : I don’t mind dps metter, if anything I’ll use it to kick player who are not performing well, if I could use it freely. That’s the only usefullness of it.
If someone is good and knows they’re playing optimally, they want it to see who’s dead weight looking to get a free bus.
When you know you’re pumping out damage and you’re going to hit enrage timer in an 8man non-bus… some people are just running around trying to stay alive and not attacking lol. Which has been evident in HM G5-6 groups… which is why people have been using it there.
No reason to be toxic about it or expose self, but especially when you’re pugging it’s good to know so you can dip or get rid of them and every other person’s time isn’t being wasted by people who aren’t pulling their weight and probably know they aren’t.
There’s people out there consistently doing like 5% damage in 8 man content. This isn’t a 25 man raid with 20 DPS… Lol
i agree with you there, i also see the main use of the dps meter in getting info about everyone else
im just seeing alot of people say that they want it for their own improvement and whatever but i cant consider that their true motive, if they wanted to improve then they could do it just as well without a dps meter by just being a little more active with their brain while they play their characters
now this might also be the reason why they dont officially want dps meters as it makes other people an easy target for flame but then again i wouldnt mind one
If you’re actually pumping, no boss will enrage unless you play support. The tightest dps check in brel only requires you to do ~30% of your raid’s max possible dps. You need people that are actually afk to fail the check and even then its possible to clear depending on the rest of your group. 4c4 busses have been a thing since day 1 FYI.
Dps checks in this game are generally very lax. Even the current tightest check we have is hell vykas in g2, and even that only requires your raid to output ~70% of their max dps to pass it.
Because contribution is subjective in this case
Knowing how people treat the game and gatekeep already someone will very well possibly be kicked for not doing over 15% damage
Which depending on party setup, ilvls, gems, etc. there can be a huge variance in reaching that 15% damage
You call it carrying but at the opposite end, this gatekeeping can very well happen to you, or anyone else for that matter because again, contribution is subjective
It makes for an even more toxic community than the one we already have and honestly this community isn’t ready for it at all until the current problems this community has are fixed
A lot of games have a “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy when it comes to things like DPS meter
However I have a feeling that this community would be telling people all over the place how “garbage” they are
And this is coming from someone who’s top DPS usually in a lot of content

Them saying no doesn’t mean we have to stop asking for it. The fact is people use it already. Hellmode is done using a dps meter. Think what you want but its in the game just frowned upon by SG/AGS. Basically saying cool you can have it but don’t talk about it.
