DPS Meters too prevalent in the Inferno Community?

You sound like a dude I would like.

I would like to share my Viewpoint about this whole topic.

We all can agree that DPS meters have Positives and Negatives, Mainly impoving on your own gameplay and Toxicity.

I find this to be a little bit exaggerated to call the clearing people “Cheaters” in this sense because as people said it doesn´t increase your DPS but ofc you have help improving on yourself and seeing your damage, BUT as you should know if you researched on Inferno you can notice how good the whole group is doing based on left Time on Transitions to next Phase (like Gate 1 Transition to Red wolf) so it doesn´t need a DPS meter to know if the group is doing well, the only question is who? and yes i agree at that point that people who have cleared this early might only have it this early because it´s literally trial and error with every guy until you find people that pull their weight.

as the Developers have Officially stated it is not allowed and can be banned, the system however cannot detect such a thing and someone telling them “hey he uses DPS meter go ban him” is not automatically a clear banning reason for them because the person could just lie.
However there are as far as i know some cases in KR already where people got banned because they posted Screenshots.

I personally fully agree that an ingame DPS meter would create Toxicity and as we see with the Third party DPS Meter now it confirms it, but i would still like to see how i perform and work on myself as any normal player would right?
i would really love to see this problem fixed with a personal DPS meter and not a Party wide one ingame, i want to believe that this would make statics require you to post Your DPS meter in like the discord chat to compare and see what is wrong while matchmaking party´s cannot directly look into your dps and be Toxic about it.

why do you tink that majority of players would use it negatively and only some can use a dps meter in a good way?

Source: trust me bro?

You dun have super power to see the future, so you are just a joke to tell us most of players will use it in a bad way.

Whenever there’s a question whether or not a community will misuse something intended to be non-toxic and end up using it to be toxic, the answer is always yes.

Time and time again it was shown that one can expect the worst from online gaming communities.
