Dropped frames on YouTube videos

Hey, is anyone getting dropped frames on YouTube videos when they’re playing split screen (windowed mode etc) with YouTube running on the side? I assume it’d have the same effect if they’re running dual monitors but I’m only using one monitor.

You can test this really easily by right clicking on the YouTube video and selecting “stats for nerds” I think I was getting like 5 dropped frames every 30 frames.

For clarification, I’m not having any issues with Lost Ark itself, I’m having issues with YouTube playback when Lost Ark is playing in the background, which I think is still an issue with Lost Ark itself since the frame drops are insanely high, I could physically see it dropping frames without the need for the stats themselves.

I’m running an RTX 3090 with an AMD Ryzen 5600x and I’ve reinstalled my gpu drivers 3 times and completely wiped my PC and it’s done nothing. I’ve even used older nvidia drivers and it’s all the same.

Try disabling hardware acceleration in the browser.

Hi @Congee

Welcome to the Lost Ark Forum!

Hope your are doing well!

I’m so sorry for the problem you are having.

As @wiseolddude said you can try to disabling hardware acceleration in the browser you are using. You can do it by going to the browser configuration and in the search bar write acceleration and try to disabling the option and then restart the browser and try it again.

Please let us know how it went! :wolf:
